What happened when we scored there 3rd and there was an incident in the away end, did one of millwall try and jump out of the stand and on to the running track?

if its been posted before - sorry! But, a millwall fan jumped over and pinched a fire extinguisher....a steward jumped in and retrieved it and then went for the bloke who nicked it....as he was pulling him over the barrier, the Millwalll lads jumped in to "rescue" him.

You can't - the bar shuts. I was in one once, and the game was rubbish and it was raining, so I asked if I could watch the game on the telly in the box and have a beer. I was told firmly, no because I could see the pitch. I offered to draw the curtain but this cut no ice.

Similarly, I was almost thrown out of the Millenium Stadium becasue of this rule - I had a beer, and in my excitement noticed I could see the pitch if I lent (not stepped) over the yellow line. I was told brusquely that if I did that again, I would be out... Naturally I was a model citizen thereafter.

But, at the cricket last season, we were even able to take our own booze in (within reason).

This obviously does not extend to Sussex Police at away matches.

My 2 sons have just been fined £150 each plus £20 costs and £15 to the victims support scheme, which apparently is now obligatory in all cases. For drinking in a licensed premises prior to enterering a sports stadium

They are normal 30/40 year old men who have never been in trouble at a football matches etc but still the police and Brighton & Hove Albion FC and the FA requested that they be banned from all football grounds for between 3 and 5 years. They pleaded guilty because they had had a drink,so they were guilty of the offense, but were not drunk by any stretch of imagaination as was stated by the governor of the pub that they were drinking in and by many supporters who they met on the train home who had seen the incident. Fortunately the chairman of the bench took a less sinister view of the incident and said he wouldnt ban them from football because he didnt consider the offence warranted such action, he jokingly added that they had already received a punishment in watching Brighton playing away. Sussex Police said that they were observed (CCTV) entering the pub and leaving the pub a long time apart, and had been seen to be drinking on the train, so they had obviously consumed a lot of alcohol. Sussex Police arrested them but didnt charge them just handed them over to the local police to deal with.

Anybody who knows me or my boys will know that they have been born and bred in pubs and their ability to consume alcohol is above the normal, not that I am praising that, just pointing out that them drinking 10 pints they would be better behaved than an average group of 18 year olds who only drinks occassionally having consumed 4 pints. One of them took on allcomers at pool both home and away supporters and remained on the table unbeaten until they left to go to the game so he couldnt have been affected by the alcohol intake to manage that.

If this is the law of the land why can people drink in The Sportsman and then enter the ground?

Since when has drinking in a pub been illegal? ???

Well, thats another reason to punish West Ham then.

I was boozing away quite happily there whilst watching the game from a walkway to the bar.

Mind you, there was not a massive Police prescence, just loads of monged out Rasta stewards where I was.
