By your logic you would also be understanding of attacks by Yazidis, Armenians and others on Sunni Muslim areas. You don't have to be because they don't happen despite these people growing up in actual poverty and subject to
discrimination in the Middle East. By contrast the attackers in the west often turn out to have been born in the west with vastly superior opportunities to those others. Their families have often moved here to escape the clutches of right wing socially conservative religion but we are not doing enough to protect them from it in our eagerness as a society to pander to religious/cultural sensitivities. This is ridiculous, we've lived alongside them in harmony for many many years. There are 3 million Muslims in the UK, mostly born in this country. Deport to where exactly?. Yes there is a particularly nasty strand of Islam which seeks to attack others (including other Muslims) but it is clearly not all, else this would have been happening for decades.

The problem is undeniably islam, but thanks to our welcome with open arms policy a lot of them are now British citizens, although I wonder, if push came to shove, how many of these muslim British citizens would take up arms to defend our land from invaders? would they be storming the beaches of France should the need ever arise, my geuss wold be no.

Quite. The perverts organizing the morons who do the work are achieving all their objectives. If we were to intern all Muslims, for example, they would call that Victory.

With regard to that, and to throwing 3 million people out of the country, with our immigrtion services incapable of enfording our own laws (non EU migration through the roof) and our security forces incapable of stopping these events let alone doing anything about the 3-20,000 on the watch lists, I would guess it will take about 25 years to round them all up. Although, of course, I could easily point them to the harmless old professor I have worked with for 30 years, if they can't find him. One of our favourite London trips, for my wife and I, is to take the train to London Bridge and walk the South Bank from Southwark Cathedral & Borough Market right round to the London Eye and Westminster Bridge then to return home from Victoria.

Last Saturday we had planned this trip, then in the light of the Manchester murders, we briefly considered cancelling our trip.

I did the arithmetic and calculated that even if there was an incident in London, the chances of us being in exactly the right place at the exactly the right time were ridiculously low.

So we arrived at London Bridge at 9 15 am, and strolled into the fabulously vibrant Borough Market with it's amazing food stalls - WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD - after having breakfast at our favourite eatery, we took our exciting walk, along with thousands of other folk from all over the world, past some of London's great iconic landmarks, on a beautiful morning - WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD.

We walked a little further than usual - past Parliament, Whitehall, Downing Street and through Horse Guards Parade to another favourite, the beautiful St James Park, where we took refreshments next to the stunning water birds on the beautiful lake.

I've always loved London since the Lyons Corner House Days of the '50's, but now in the 21st century, it has the best of the old with the best of the new.

Last Saturday, the atmosphere was breath-taking - an extraordinary human experience.

After last night we're going to hear a lot of total CRAP from hundreds of people all with there ideas and opinions. But the most important to ordinary people is 'IS IT SAFE TO GO OUT'?

I've never felt MORE DEFIANT - if it were practical and possible - I'd go straight back and do that journey this morning - not because I'm brave, but because I'm good at maths.

I'm not going to waste my time condemning anyone - I don't want to know the names of these murderers, only the victims - I just want to carry on as if nothing had happened in DEFIANCE.

I love my country so much it hurts, I think most people think like me, but there will be folk who get frightened and we must understand that.

To those people I offer my explanation of conquering any fear of flying - since I used to commute past the newly built International Gatwick Airport in the '60's, and despite Gatwick being one of the Worlds busiest airports , I cannot recall any fatalities involving the hundreds of thousands of flights in or out of Gatwick in all those years.

So despite the war of words that are coming our way - CHANGE NOTHING - BE DEFIANT - you're not required to be brave - JUST DO THE ARITHMETIC - and remember that your more likely to be injured or killed in your home than anywhere outside in the big world

I went to a NT property recently, and some of the volunteers were talking about incidencies that happened a few years ago locally.

400,000 Muslims fought for the British Empire in the First World War. I fear that the current extremist issue within Islam is more of a modern problem than a historical issue within Islam. Hard right ideology fueled and funded by Saudi Arabia is infecting Muslim populations across south east Asia, Africa and Europe. Don't know what the solution is but it seems to be getting worse

I agree, but I have no other idea of what can be done? a ban on Islam wouldn't be an option, it would force it underground and it would become even more of a problem.

OK..I'll have a crack at that.

First I'd start a serious debate..not a Sunday morning chit chat, I'd have serious big hitters challenging every Muslim apologist claiming "islamophobia" every time someone criticises their mongrel religion and its adherents.

I would end the idea of cultural profiling being a political correctness hot potato.

I would take the 3000 on the current watch list to a place of safety where their ideas can be scrutinised by professional radicalisation counsellor s.

I'd put Majid Nawaz in charge of answering Islamic hate. Give the guy a real platform to expose Islamic lies and deceit. Set a thief to catch a thief.

I would promote a list of traits that shows the commonest weasel words that Islam uses to somehow avoid the scrutiny it deserves.

I would offer Muslims wishing to leave Islam a real safe out. Get them away from their faith by all means necessary.

I would introduce a system of robust challenges to Islam to be compulsory in schools. End the idea that Islam is a peaceful religion and offer alternate views instead.

That'll do for starters.
