Police at the Palace game

What good would it do? Those on our side who want trouble would simply loiter in the ground for 30 minutes, along with thousands of others who regularly stay. The Amex is unique in that respect as, at every other ground, supporters are encouraged to leave, so they do. Here, loads stay.

Believe it or not, most Palace fans are quite civilised, just like most of ours. Why should they be penned in simply as some sort of token gesture because the Met police insisted on treating us like cattle up there?

Spoken like a true police lady, nail on head. ( were you at Gatwick this morning?)

It's a lot of money to lose, and ruins the only chance this season of a crowd close to 30k

Well it would allow many thousands with children and all those who habitually leave straight away a chance to do so without any fears. Those remaining behind in the BHA concourses could then themselves be held in for 5 minutes while the cattle train to croydon is loaded.

Simply, very low risk strategy.

I just hope it does not take a child getting injured to prove the point that there will always be some idiots at these games.

Brighton factually.....
I think any trouble will occur Saturday night to be fair and their fans will slink off with a whimper after we tonk them on the pitch.

We still have more home games after this , the final game of the season could be a 30k sellout

Isn't kick off at 12 ? Why would the palace fans be sent drinking down west street before the game ? What time does spoons open on a Sunday morning ? Surely by the time they get a pint in it will be time to leave again ??

It's all good practice for when we play them over two legs in the play offs.

Personally, I would have held them back for half an hour, so at least any Brighton fans who wants to leave on full time with kids can do so without the possibility of any issues.

Pubs can open early on a Sunday to serve breakfasts and coffee/soft drinks. The Yarborough Hotel in Grimsby is a Spoons and opens at 9am

Dandyman

In London village.
Any odds being offered on "issues" in Newhaven, Eastbourne or Seaford on the Saturday night ?
