I think we may be a spent force after the mental pressure of the last 6 games in such a short time. I am setting my sights low - 1 point

Hoping to be delighted and surprised as we bounce back and take points off all three teams.

I think I’m tending towards a couple of draws, too. I think mentally we need a break after playing the three best teams in England (at the mo) in the space of 12 days. Unfortunately we don’t have long until the Southampton game, and they are playing decent stuff now. I’d expect us to grab a couple of points against Newcastle and Burnley, and be thankful that Villa, Bournemouth and Norwich are shit!

Hoping for 4 to match 2017/18 season - but as a club have we moved on from Hughton?

Points wise & league position says not really

I’ve always said the part managers play is over exaggerated by fans. At the end of the day, you are right, with largely a similar rated squad, we’ve played differently, with different tactics, but the outcome is not any different from our first season up. Managers can only do so much.

Have we moved on though is a different question. We seem to have far more faith in Youth this season with Alzate, Connolly coming through. We seem to be far more flexible with tactics.

Think someone like Potter with fresh approaches and ideas is going to need some time. Hopefully next season, with a few new faces and everyone on the same page may see us kick on a bit.

Great point Jim. We’ve played United better than they’ve been in nearly a decade, following by the champions going for a record points haul, and City with most of their individuals worth more than our entire starting XI. I think you can get up for these games when they come with some results and confidence you can gain inbetween, but playing 3 in a row in that short space of time was asking a lot and it showed yesterday.

2 points from draws against Newcastle and Southampton. Burnley will be a narrow defeat but it won't matter as we will be safe by then anyway.

Southampton are a dangerous team at the moment, Ings is on fire and I don't think we'll get anything from them, the ginger dalek and his mob nearly always beat us so I can only hope we get a point from Newcastle.

:(
