I don't think 10 points would be all that bad, some very tricky games there. Would bite your hand off for 2 points per game, which would in my opinion give us more than enough points to see us being promoted.

Broadly, I'd like us to avoid draws and would in all circumstances from now on in (except for the Newcastle game) would accept losses, so long as there are also wins in any run -- such as this six game run before the international break.
In such a scenario, I'd be really happy with four wins and two losses, so long as it involves a win against Newcastle -- i.e. I'd accept losses against Leeds and Reading, to beat Newcastle and the other three games.

Our long term average is around 2 points per game.

Don't see any reason to expect much deviation from that.

It's the first game AFTER the next International Break I'm more worried about. Y'know the one where the players always come out looking decidedly ring-rusty, like they'd spent the entire enforced lay-off sleeping late and having marathon sessions on the PlayStation. Usually takes them til the following game to get halfway back up to speed. Couldn't we arrange a couple of foreign friendlies or a sunshine training camp or something to keep them properly focused on the task in hand?
