No way Levy would fund a Mourinho-style approach to squad-building

Exactly right. Eddie Howe's price is dropping but Spurs is too big a job for him. He likes running everything his way at PLB and that would never happen at Tottenham.

It was suggested in the press at the weekend that Mourinihio was getting ready to take over Spurs when Poch either resigns or is sacked and is signed by Real Madrid. What price Zindane will go in the next couple of days?

Can't see Daniel Levy getting on very well with Mourhino - Rafa on the other hand. They might get on well

This was coming, Spurs have lacked any consistency this season, drawing at home to Sheffield United the final straw.

Indeed. 25 points in the past 26 league games. At that rate they'd be right down there in a relegation battle. Would be interesting if they went down as they'd almost certainly be too arrogant to have relegation clauses in the contracts. They'd surely bounce back up straight away, but would be hilarious in a way.

Indeed, strange to think they were Champions league finalists 6 months ago !

The curse of letting in 3 against Brighton!!
Brighton have scored 3 goals or more 9 times in the Premier League. 7 of those managers were sacked with a few months (could rise to 8 if Everton sack Silva soon):
Brighton 3 WBA 1 Sept 17 Manager Megson sacked November 17
West Ham 0 Brighton 3 Oct 17, Bilic sacked Nov 17
Brighton 3 West Ham 1 Feb 18 Moyes released May 18
Brighton 4 Swansea 1 Feb 18 Carvalhal sacked May 18
Brighton 3 Man Utd 2 Aug 18 Mourinho sacked Dec 18
Brighton 3 Palace 1 Dec 18 Hodgson not sacked
Watford 0 Brighton 3 Aug 19 Gracia sacked Sept 19
Brighton 3 Spurs 0 Oct 19 Poch sacked Nov 19
Brighton 3 Everton 2 Silva not sacked yet!

Doubt they will go for Howe. Very similar to pochettino. Would be hilarious if they did as that would be the end of Bournemouth.

Hughton in for rest of the season in Hiddink-type appointment Chelsea did a few seasons ago. Would really like to see that as Chris would certainly steady the ship and humble a few players in the dressing room.

As for a long-term appointment, I'd love to see Eddie Howe.

Say what you like about Mourinho, in his brief time at Man Utd he won two cups and had a second place finish. The football was gash but he won things.

I’m surprised anyone is surprised. Spurs have been awful this season. Not by their standards but by Sheffield United’s.

Mourinho would be hilarious. I can’t think of a less Spursy manager.
