IMHO, i feel there is no other team in this league who deserve the trophy more.

They are playing top football and had five goals over the weekend before half time when playing cheaterfield.

We of course have other priorities but good luck!!

I haven't seen them play so can't really say so until that time.

Personally I think QPR looked good against us in the LDV and seem to play well every week. I think they may go up as champions

Plymouth haven't had a bad run of form yet, QPR were bad at the start of the season but at some point Plymouth will have a bad run of form for a few weeks and its at that point we see if they are champions material. We got out bad form and can't get out of it hence not champions, QPR had a bad run and are now out of it so have a good chance, lets see what happens when plymouth stop winning.

I personally think it'll be QPR who win come the end of the season.

Thought QPR were disappointing at Withdean earlier in the season but by all accounts have improved since. Plymouth were alright down at their place but nothing special. That said, we were lucky to hang on to 3-3 after somehow managing to blag ourselves a 3-1 lead.

I really think that the key to winning this division is a bit of consistency because basically everyone's as shit as each other. So far only Plymouth have managed that and as a result find themselves top of the pile.

I still think that this division is so wide open due to the ineptitude of all teams in it that its too early to make any decisions on who is likely to go up.

Be interesting to see how they do next year, if they do go up. I think they came up as champs of Div 3 the season before last, and consolidated their position last year.

Like Cardiff and Reading it may be that an extra season or two in div 2 is the way to make sure, that when you get to div 1 that you have a team that with a few additions can survive. We were found out and Rotherham avoided coming straight back down, on the last day of the season I think.

I think both they and QPR will survive in Div 1 if they get there. We haven't got a cat in hell's chance imo. As discussed on another thread over the weekend, I don't think we, as a club, are too committed to trying to to go up this season and it certainly wouldn't be as champions if we did.

Plymouth away showed the signs that Plymouth Argylle were the team in waiting for the championship. Fair play we went 3-1 up which flattered us but the way Plymouth battered us in the last 10 minutes to come back to 3-3 and nearly won in injury time when a 30 yards strike hit the post showed the signs. They have a superb midfielder Jason Bent who is the sort of creative midfielder Albion having been crying out for all season, a wondeful 20000 stadium on the outskirts of the Town, their fans made an almighty racket when they came back at us and the have the sort of geography and catchment area very similar to Brighton.

They also have a good and freindly set of supporters and a special mention to the fat bastard in the crowd who was very amusing.

They deserve it.

I thought they were the best team I have seen this year. I hope they win it if we dont ( and lets face it I dont think we will) They have improved their ground which I prefer to just moving into a new stadium (some of us dont have a choice) and play good attacking football. Having a Edgar David's lookalike in midfield also helps. Smacking 7 past those cheats cheered me up. I agree that they havnt had a bad run yet so that will be the true test. I havnt been impressed with QPR at all, thought considering we played a few duffers they were hardly convincing in the LDV.

I've been saying for years that Plymouth is worthy of a Division One team.

The fanbase is huge, they have a huge catchment area, with only about 5000 combined watching Torquay and Exeter.

I watched them at Palarse last year and the only thing they were lacking was a striker.

They have a nice ground now, and they showed great spirit against us.

I would rather they won the league than Q P Arse.

Have I been watching the wrong Plymouth? The one I've seen seem to be asking one question:

Q: "Where's David Friio?"

A: "Ah, over there. I'll hoof the ball to him then".

Yes, they probably deserve to win it more than us, and the place is worthy of a division one team. But that alone doesn't make them worthy champions.

I said before the season started, and certainly still do now they've hit their run of form: Bristol City will win the league. Yes, they're currently 12 pts behind with only 1 game in hand, but I think they'll do it. And bag me £500 in the process, assuming ManUre win the premiership.

Coming from the man who laughed at me saying "Australia will never beat New Zealand and reach the final".

Bristol City will win the league.

Yes but I know nothing about Rugby. You on the other hand, coming from a small mining village, neat Taunton-deep in the West Country, probably do.

Every year Bristol City should run away with this league, and every year they fail to deliver. They haven't done anything this year to make me think things are going to change.

They, like Plymouth, have the fanbase, the ground, and the finances to compete in Division One. It is not going to happen yet though.

Oh well, I'm convinced they will deliver this year. And talking of late season surges, what price can you get on Carlisle surviving? 10 pts from 4 games, they're gonna do a Houdini again...

You could say the same of Reading and Cardiff at one time though. They'll get it right sooner or later, this season could be that season.
