Plumbing help needed

What is this get up and why is it stopping my dishwasher filling with water? As a bonus how do i reset it? I'm assuming its a safety trip of some

Even if someone can just tell me what the hell the blue thing is i can go from there

It looks like some kind of light/illumination. Have you tried turning it off and then back on again?

That was my first port of call. I think its the blue thing on the right that is connected both to the light thingy and the dishwasher water inlet supply

Many years ago I had Guinness bypass-looked a lot like your pictures.

Im no expert but the blue thing looks like a solenoid valve. It needs a signal to energize this then opens the valve. The shiny thing probably sends the signal but what is holding this off I would have no idea!
