Sink blocked way out of our reach. I seem to remember there are plumbers on here, has anyone got a number?

Presume the drain isn't blocked so should be straight forward you would think,a nice rod would come in handy

I'm a plumber but haven't time to do the job,a bit of friendly advice though,buy some drain cleaner called "one shot"and follow the instructions on the bottle,be very careful as it's very strong stuff.If this doesn't work then call a plumber.

If you have a wet and dry Hoover and can get to the drain end of the sink waste, fill up the sink with water (don't plug it) above the overflow and attach the Hoover to the drain end using a wet cloth to seal the gap around the Hoover nozzle.
Will unblock most waste pipes and no need to buy expensive one shot good luck!
The smell is awful though!!

As nick c ,im in the business too. use one shot or another chemical called MELT should do the job. But as mentioned read the instructions and don't be afraid when it appears to smoke and bubble from the drain,

Got some pokey things from b&q but then did less than nothing. Prolly just get a plumber now.
