Signed for my most local league side.

Just one question: Does Ridsdale have any role in the alternative bid? If not, it has to be the way to go for that reason alone, surely.

I can answer that one. It's not a simple yes/no i'm afraid.

Not presently but he is sitting at the edge of the village hall making eye contact with the Contingency Planning team, blowing kisses and showing a bit of leg. He may yet get approached and asked for a dance but like most 'wall flowers' it'll not be down to being the most attractive bit of skirt on offer but pure desperation and necessity.

The three parties involved in this truly apaulling administration process that has sunk to previously unknown depths of skullduggery and deception are the adminsitator Brendan Guilfoyle, the preferred bidder Kevin Heaney (wants the land not the club, convenient as he already owns Truro City) and our old friend Peter. Peter tells us he's "reluctantly" putting himself forward to take on the club for £1 because the new owner isn't interested in football (mind you he did say he was in Plymouth for a walking holiday in back in October and he's still here). The prospect of being given the working capital for 2011-2012 by Heaney i'm sure is entirely inconsequential!!.

He's joined at the hip with Guilfoyle because they've worked together before and Ridders appointed him, he's also joined at the hip with Heaney as he's in bed with him over the £1 purchase, it's all become a horrible three way role playing mutual love in. The slurping noises and occasional giggles from under the bed sheets have been interupted from time to time with slipped payment deadlines and a £700,000 reduction in the originally agreed exclusivity payments (which should have gone to the staff who've been unpaid for 8 months now). I can only assume Heaney is a phenominal lover because Brendan has been very accomodating to these indiscretions.

Problem is Heaney has no money and that circle won't ever be squared, there's been loads of "the cheque is in the post" promises, he's still doing it today, but the bottom line is his grubby offshore front of a business has as many assets as a plasma TV dealership on Ealing Broadway right now. The matter is now coming to a head.

Taking it back to the original question this leaves the contingency planning team with a quite unpalatable problem. Ridsdale is a chunt of the highest order make no mistake about it and i'd happily encourage him to continue his 'walking holiday' off the end of the Lizard. But on a practical level Ridsdale has been running Argyle single handedly this season and truth be told (when kept away from the coffers) he's actually a very good footballing CEO, they could use his intimate knowledge of football and vast experience. Additionally he's got to be given some incentive to turn his head away from Heaney or he'll drive Argyle into the ground chasing after his dream £1 purchase.

So as he sits at the side of the dance suggestively twiddling the buttons on his blouse the contingency plan team are considering the desperate necessity of extending a hand to him......... forced by necessity in the full knowledge they're going to wake up in the morning look across the pillows and totally regret their actions. He would at least be a sackable employee rather than the 100% shareholder of the club, extending the metaphor further he'd be an expensive but desperately unattractive escort.......but at least he's not the wife!.

Thanks for you help guys (and gals) unless deadlines get extended yet again we could be gone by tomorrow and we'll need that support even more. I occupy the minority viewpoint but I personally don't fear liquidation because I know we'd get a more morally stable rebirth thereafter. YOUR example through Archer has perhaps influenced my stance, i'd sooner start again than have the ground seperated from the football club and be beholdent to a property developing private landlord with no interest in football.

Hopefully through fan action such as you are demonstrating we can convince Guilfoyle to break his fixation with Heaney and consider another partner before ending it all.

Again, thank you

A truly frightening tale X-Isle. Sounds like there needs to be a fit and proper test for administrators too. This guy wasn't involved in the last stitch up at Leeds was he? his name sounds familiar.

Aye, he did Palace last season and Luton in 2007 too, probably more.

I'm sure someone on PASOTI has done a run through of all the bizarre twists and turns, it'd make a nosebleed of a read, but for me ALL credibility was lost here..........

A last minute 'mystery consortium' secures the CVA and is given preferred bidder status by Guilfoyle. He denies any knowledge of who is involved.

Rightly fans are up in arms because it could be a buy-back consortium of the muppets who got us into adminsitration in the first place.

"it's OK" says Brendan, "they're nothing to do with the former owners".

"erm, excuse me?" say the fans, "how exactly can you know who it isn't if you don't know who it is"?.

"shit" says Brendan (after a lot of squirming) "I did know who it was but I was advised to say that I didn't by my legal advisor".

WTF?, legally sanctioned lying?.

You'll love this though, the insolvency industry regulator is a bodycalled the insolvency practitioners association (IPA isn't just a good pint it seems). Head of ethics at the IPA...........a certain Mr. Brendan Guilfoyle!.

You couldn't make it up.

Hi guys,

Argyle fan here in peace.

As you may know, our club is still in administration as the season starts. The administrator picked his preferred bidder many weeks ago but as yet that bidder has not completed the deal, as deadlines have apparently repeatedly been extended. The bidder remains anonymous, but seeks to take ownership of the ground for development purposes while selling the club to Peter Ridsdale for £1.

The real danger is that the administrator becomes liable for staff wages this week - which have not been paid in full for several months - and that they will seek to liquidate the club to recoup their own costs rather than turn to an alternative buyer, James Brent, who is waiting in the wings, who has been talking positively to the Argyle Fans Trust, and who is seeking to negotiate the sale of the stadium to the Council on a community-based initiative.

Please consider signing our petition to the administrator to adopt the alternative bid.

I can't post a link to the petition here as I'm a new poster, but just Google 'dont-liquidate-pafc-pa' and it's the top hit. Maybe a mod can edit in the link?

Many thanks, and good luck this season in your new ground with former greens Craig Noone and Ashley Barnes. It would be great to see you challenging at the top end!
