Please Please Please Can we sellout our end this weekend!!

A hollow excuse, all my mates grew up in Brighton and chose poorly to support Prem teams, more fool them, but now im honestly starting to feel sorry for them, they came up to Charlton the other week and had a great time, making noise and being proud of where their from, they all stumped up the princley sum of ten pounds, supported the club and are coming again, what is wrong with that? why am i a tosser? if your girlfriend is really the Brighton fan she claims to be and really wants to make the trip, buy her an away membership, its a one off fee for £10 and once its paid she can go to all the games she likes and then all my 'wanker' mates will no longer be an issue to her!!

Part of me feels it's patronising to be a loveable second club to our mates who follow prem sides (we've all got some of them) but on the other side of the coin how can we convert them if they don't come? As for that bloke slagging you off because his 'gf' can't get a ticket, boo fuckin hoo, some people on here want to get off their arses and do something about it, the fixtures came out in June FFS.

Can't see anything wrong in bringing friends with you who have Brighton as a 'second team' or just have a passing interest in football. One of my mates fell into the latter category 4 years ago. He's now a regular visitor to Withdean and the away games.

Take your mates with you and welcome them into the Albion family!

not trying to convert them mate, they have all made their foolish decision to become arm chair fans and many of them know f*** all about what it means to be a football fan, none of them will change their legancies, but theyre still proud of where their from, part of me wonders if football fans could change their team if any of them would, but i dont loose sleep about it. they still stump up the cash because theyre impressed with the way were playing, they still give up their day to show their support. My point is where are the stay away fans, yes we will take alot up there more than average but why cant we sell it out, things have not been this good for a long long time? if your a Brighton player and you see week after week (within reason) a packed away end your going to be buzzin - our fans are fuking great but we need to not stop until every ticket for this one is sold and im seeing some piss poor excuses on here! its a massive game for us! We have no excuse at the moment not to be filling out these games, Leeds did it week in week out last year, a place far less afluent than brighton and people moan about paying a one off tenner! Makes you question just how much they care. I would love it if we took 4000 Gus has made a massive statement of intent no reason why we shouldnt as well, the more we do it the less you will see of my mates!

5 posts = Brighton til I die my arse - just found NSC per chance? ??? Listen, you and your Premiership mates who've just discovered what it's like to be a proper football supporter as opposed to armchair fc, are more than welcome. But please, show some respect and don't patronise those of us who've been on this rollacoaster for the longer than just half term.

I am SO f***ing hyped for this!

I'm so scared I won't get paid or get paid enough to go (I need 40 quid for ticket and BHABA coach) even though i'm meant to be getting 88 quid tomorrow, even being pessimistic and assuming my breaks and being sent home early to save money on labour for the day, i'm still afraid I wont break 60... if it wasn't paying for my ticket i'd be chilled about it but FAAAAACK its scarey...

COME ON BRIGHTON.

I love this club. I love being young and thinking "I've got my whole life following this team, until the day I die, i'm going to be supporting Brighton and Hove Albion all over the FA Pyrimid from Step 1 down to Step 13"

BUZZING.

you have nothing to base your comments on mate and no nothing about me, i never knew you judged a brightons fans loyalty by how many times they have posted on NSC?! my reasons for joining is because im reading threads with people saying 2500 this weekend will be ok and having to pay £10 (to our club) is a reason not to go! i am 24 and have followed the club since i was 8, was a STH for 7 years from goldstone through preistfield and at withers, i have always religiously travelled to games below the midlands and joined to ask, why with the fan base we have, the way we are playing, why we are not all thinking we can sell this out. i judge a supporter on how many games they attendand how many days they give up to follow the club. Are you going Saturday, do you not agree we should fill our end?

sorry if i have in anyway offended you!

Peace

Would love another day like this - everytime we arrive away like this the players must start buzzing, 6 points clear, being talked about as a football team all over the country, seems like some fans are waiting for Falmer until they return. My point is join the party sooner, should easily sell 4000 out with our fan base.

Ill explain my point to you so you can understand - I know people who dont support the albion who are more than happy to pay £10 for an away membership and travel up to Peterborough due to our recent form, brand of football and manager, if these people are willing to do this then why are fans and some people who are signed up on NSC, not wiling to do the same? Took 6500 to villa for a game we were never gonna win, surley 2 thirds of these people would travell to watch a game we can win and we shold be able to fill our away end?

Get it?

He's right.

Even the long legged one does sometimes.

Never post when you're pissed either, they'll never forget it, a bit like the office Christmas party.

there is huge support for this club no reason why we cant sell 4000 tickets it would mean just over 1% of our population doing it and thats not even factoring in how many other fans we have all over the country,

Seem to recall when they did a survey of where the support came from back in the early 90s, only about a third of Albion fans - who go regularly - actually live in Brighton & Hove.

So 'factoring' in those of us who don't live in B&H - though I was born in Portslade - is rather important!

Good luck to you though pal, if your mates come along a few times, love it, then who knows, maybe they will turn their backs on the shite that is the Premiership and become conmmitted Albion boys. That'll be good news. :albion2:
