Please MM, sort out the midfield.

If MM doesn't sort out the midfield soon, we're gonna be struggling to stay in the top 6.

Leon won't keep banging them in unless he gets decent service.

So far, the midfield has been pretty poor. We've played a fair amount of long ball, and only on the odd occasion have we knocked the ball around and looked good.

Now we've lost Zesh, and we seem even weaker.
Piercey hasn't looked up to it when he's come on; he's off the pace too much.
Harding looks OK, but nothing special.
Hammonds gone to Orient, but I think is worth trying.
Jolly is out injured, but hadn't played well so far this season.
Chippy was been a bit hit and miss.
Jonesy - should put as much effort into his football as his love life.
Harty is very one dimensional - head down, take them on down the outside.
Oatway - huff and puff, bad distribution.

I'm not saying that they can't do a job, but we need a good play-maker, and the rest to do the support.

Please MM, sort this out. The rest ain't too bad, IMHO. Yes, it could be better, but this is where we should start.

After all, we want our championship back.

He'll sort it out, just give him a bit of time and don't expect an immediate improvement.

We've still got lots of the season left to make up any lost ground.

i think that its good that we have now got 2 cup games as it will give MM a great oppitunity to see the whole squard before brizzle city!

what's happened to OGH? He's been off the pace for ages, it's painful to watch at times.

We come to expect mediocrity from certain other players, but I really hate to see Harty struggling. He doesn't seem to have been quite the same since he broke his leg a year and a half ago.

It doesn't help when the team fail to notice him out on the wing, waiting for a pass.

I think Jones, Hart, Mayo, Watto, Cullip and especially Carpenter all need something of a kick up the jacksy. Is it a coincedence that they are some of the older hands at the Albion ? The younger players (no point MM shouting too much at them when things aren't working) will look to the elder statesmen for their leadership and examples of commitment and effort. Maybe some of the older faces are getting a bit stale (Watson certainly has gone downhill since the beginning of last season) or they're just complacent as this division hardly looks testing or anything to get excited about. Thank God for the calm efficient play of Butters, the finishing of Knight and the workrate of McPhee.

I'd always thought that there was too much long ball play - this left the mid field to their own devices (filing their nails etc.) I think they need more down and dirty attacking practice - they need structure passing practice and I agree with Larus - that Knight needs to be fed better passes....
