Please help; very very bored

So here I an stuck in a Premier Inn hotel in the middle of a godforsaken hell hole just outside St Albans on a week long programming course. I have only been here 2 nights and am bored out of my tiny mind. Limited internet access (blackberry) and the best lager the pub sells is Carlsberg! Ideas to entertain myself pathetically gratefully accepted......

I have been marooned in a few hotels before and made a beeline for the bar. Take a book and buy a bottle of vino. There are always people in the same boat to share a drink or three with.

Day 3 update. After wandering around St Albans for half an hour trying to find a pub with Sky showing the Liverpool game we have finally managed to find one with an Albanian tv satellite link but using Sky commentry!(True). The search for a curry house later could be really frustrating! St Albans really is a shit hole.

have had an ok curry a few times at devdas. it used to be a pub i think, once upon a time. i have a st albans based leeds supporting pal and frequently that is the furthest i get home on a saturday night post game.
