Playing DVD's on my microwave

I tried cooking my dinner in my DVD player last night. Anyone know a good way to clean pizza out of electrical equipment?

Use a spatular to clean the lenses then scour the boards with a Brillo pad.

Check it is a DVD compatible Microwave. Some will only play CD-Rs

If it says DVD on the front its ok otherwise I'd give up
