Having just watched Danny Whitaker scoring three for Chesterfield. Got me thinking. He always impressed me in League One, so what's he doing dropping down a division already ? - hardly past it at 30.

Oh, he can turn it on occasionally, 1 game in 20 he looks like frigging Messi, the rest of the time he looks like a bloke with boots on the wrong feet and laces tied together. Also, there is, obviously, some gap between L1 and the champ.

Darren Ambrose should be playing in the Premier League still. Single-handedly the reason why we unfortunately don't have a league trip to Selhurst this year.

Oh, and following on from a conversation I had yesterday, I'm stunned no Premier League side came in for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard this summer as well. Class act.
