There is another way. If you know someone back in Sussex, then get them to place their phone by the radio and listen in on yours. I did that loads when I lived in Liverpool. Of course it means no-one can phone their landline for a couple of hours but it does work.

And it costs a fortune in call time.

This stream is the same stream the bbc use and it does NOT play the Albion's league matches. Otherwise half the people wouldn't pay for seagulls player.

Yes it does, started using it because I was also fed up with Seagull Player, I'll be listening in the morning to tonights match.

the problem everyone had last Saturday stemmed from Seagulls player and not the general PLAYER or it was good old radio Sussex buggering it up again
the Bolton commentary was perfectly OK other than the fact it was a bit drab

Apart from a couple of instances of cutting out a couple of weeks ago I haven't really had any issues much with Player - I only usually use the audio commentary though and don't watch much in the way of video. Will have to try and find a way of listening to the Palace match on Saturday on the move as I have to take the family to LOndon for the day.

I travel a great deal and can't always use Flash player from my company secure laptop so I have been using Puffin App on my iPad to listen. I would drop Seagulls Player in a heartbeat however if I could hear it on any internet radio service. Does anyone know of one?

You won't find it on any internet radio service because all the apps use the BBC Sussex Internet feed which does not broadcast live commentaries.

For the record to date I have not had any issues with Seagulls Player (audio or video). Of course, that is now bound to change.

Wow. I stand corrected. Is that the case always? I remember times when someone 'forgot' to switch the feed and those of us outside Sussex heard the Albion instead of Eastbourne. It shouldn't play the live stream as the BBC do not have the universal rights for that broadcast, only the local area served by the station is covered.

I signed out, and now cannot even get in. What a joke. I don't normally listen to the matches on player, I just use it for the extended highlights. Ruddy 'eck.

I am sending an email every time it cuts out requiring a refresh.. Feel free to join in:

Perhaps it's time Barber did something for the fans and sorted this one out. What is his email address? I'm going to mail them both now.

And cancel my subscription, complete waste of time and money.
