I'm not reneging on 2% top-up I said I would add - just paid £21.30 by bank transfer - but have been away from internet connection for the weekend.

Did this go, were they pleased, what will it be used for?

(sorry to bounce, but thread dropped from 'sticky' without sign-off summary)

Sorry fella - the money went a few weeks ago. Will have to check my bank account (presumably?) for the extra £21.30. I'll give you the choice - I can either pay it over to the club too, or I can roll it into next years. Let me know...

I paid it because I wanted it included.

What I don't know from 300 miles away is ... "were they pleased, what will it be used for?"

Maybe of interest to other exiles too.

Its used for "player sponsorship" as the name suggests, meaning NSC gets mentioned as a player sponsor (or is it kit sponsor, not sure) for Guy Butters and Kim Eaton in the programme. What the club actually do with the cash is their own business I would presume.

...is the correct answer, although they most certainly are very grateful for sums of money like this that flow into the club.

In addition to the programme reference, some contributors will attend the end of season sponsors' dinner, getting to mingle with the great and the good. We'll get a few signed shirts too (which reminds me Hiney has last year's one still).

I hope somebody a bit more sure, and a bit less presumptuous, can come up with some info!

I'd Ask the Club if I thought it would get an answer, a bit unlikely as no-one from the Club has made any comment on this thread so far.

I know GB was very appreciative when first sponsored by NSC some years ago, when he was finding it difficult to make his mark with the club, and fans.

Probably still is, but maybe comments only appear in programme, which I never see.

Hey zego. I was just wondering why the matchday programme had the .com address when that one doesn't work. It's .biz where it's at.

1000 nicker and BHA can't get our names right. Wilkins out!
