Henderson 6 ... Some of his kicking questionable.

Whing 7 ... has played better.

Hinshelwood 7 ... Good game. Has strengthened the defence. Wonder if he's really tall enough for a central defender.

Butters 8 ... great to have him back. Excellent game.

Mayo 7 ... did very little wrong except for losing his man a couple of times in the first half. Best game for a while.

Fraser 6 ... played fairly well.

Hammond 7 ... played well.

ElAbd 6 ... OK in a central midfield role.

Cox 7 ... good game, but not his best.

Robinson 8 ... great game.

Gatting 3 ... very poor. Slow. lack of effort.

Perfect summing up for me.
Gatting looked totally lost out there.

Well the table, apparently doesn't lie, and they say the season evens itself out by the end - so the league postion will show the ultimate 'score' based on our team's performances.

I think we drop too many silly naieve points, and constantly make amateur mistakes week-in week-out. That will drop the points total, and Hinsh lost about 4 points from the 8 I would've given him today, for a very telling loss of focus.

Saw it from the disabled area. Was walking back like he'd drank ten pints.

When will we see you at the London meeting.

ello butters just saw some of your fellow pros make twats of themselves at the Sanderson Hotel bar just off Oxford street. Namely Mark Kennedy - tonguing some blonde rotter and Drogba acting like a twat (no change there then)

I expected us to get murdered today, what with the injuries and Northamptons away record.

It wasn't very pretty, but I think that was a good result pyschologically for this very young team.

Its reassuring to know that you were alongside them.

Me too! I was amazed people were so bullish and confident before the game, I took my seat in total dread!

And then was mostly pleasantly surprised after a difficult first 20 minutes.

Way out west
That is what I have been saying for months, we need to strengthen the midfield, our defence isn't as bad as some would like to believe, it is just on occasion they have been left a little exposed. It is also why I have been praying for Charlie to make a full recovery and, despite the confusion with my statement about him being the missing link(man), it is someone with his level of grit and determination that can steer us into a comfortable position in a fairly average league.
