Henderson 6 - did nothing wrong. Not at fault for goals.
Reid 1 - absolutely abysmal
Hinshelwood - 4 worked hard but poor game
Butters 1 - Sorry Tank, but it looked a game too far
Lynch 6 - the one defender to try to do something.
Carole 1 - Waste of time him turning up. When was the last time this 'winger' put a cross in?
Carpenter 1 - Old, slow, poor distribution, terrible first touch.
Nicolas 4 - Worked hard but seemed overwhelmed. I reckon he's blown his chance of contract
Frutos 3 - Not his best game, although at least he crosses the ball now and then
CKR 3 - Switches off too readily. And can someone explain the offside law to him in the close season.
GNW 1 - Just didn't look bothered. Why was he playing?

Sub
Loft 7 - the one bright spot of the day. At least someone wanted to play.

Let's hope the guys who are staying with us now have a decent rest. McGhee is promising a harder pre-season training regime than ever before so let them enjoy it while they can.

Thats great, what our players lack is ability and tactical awareness so lets make pre-season harder. The man's a genius. I think we will do alright next year under MM, mid-table which I would be happy with given out situation etc... but surely its time to try something else rather than an even tougher pre-season which if I remember rightly was something he was aiming for last year.

Not really - the logic is to get the younger players who have less intensive experience of the rigours of a long season battle-hardened.

Hendo 5 - not to blame for any of the goals, but looked shaky.

Lynch 7 - the only bright spot; continued his good form.
Butters 4 - badly exposed, struggled.
Hinsh 4 - all over the place.
Reid 4 - crap in possession, shambles for the fifth.

Frutos 3 - shite and lazy, awful on the ball.
Nicolas 6 - better in possession than the rest, but weak in the tackle.
Carpenter 5 - chasing shadows.
Carole 3 - gash; greedy, lazy, gutless.

Kazim-Richards 6 - worked harder than most, but got nothing for it.
Noel-Williams 4 - either crocked or couldn't be arsed; possibly both.

McGhee 0 - no plus points at all, finally got the reception he deserved from the crowd.

Think Nicolas should have been man of match yesterday.
He worked harder than anyone out there , and never gave up, Loft came on, ran about alittle, then was luckly enough to score and got MOM. That's unfair. But what's new?

I think so, on SCR or it might have been the programme

Trouble is, it's that age old problem of MM being able to get his players to a good physical level but seemingly unable to improve them technically or tactically. Which in truth is what we have missed this year.

I think the technical and tactical conversion of someone like Adam Virgo was a masterstroke that has probably not been bettered by any Albion manager in recent years. True, he can't do miracles like that every season even though this seems to be the level of expectation of Brighton fans now. This season young players like McShane, El Abd and Lynch have progessed and although this is more controversial so too I think have Hammond and Hendo who have emerged this season as automatic first-choice players for the first time in their careers.

Hendo - 6 Not at fault, Must admit Im not a fan thow

Lynch - 7 Lets hope he's still here here next season
Butters - 3 As the experienced pro he did little to marshall defence and had a poor personnal game
Hinch - 3 Shite
Ried - 2 Even Worse

Frutos - 2 Waste of Space
Carpenter - 2 Thanks for the good times and good luck at another club
Nicholas - 5 Ran around alot showed some effort if abliet not very affective
Carole - 2 Waste of space, likes beating two players only to run into another or deliver a totaly crap pass etc

GNW - 4 No thanks good luck finding another club
CKR - 6 Effort and a few signs of quality

Loft - 6 Looks promissing, but that not hard on a day like yesterday

McGhee - Will probably resign soon when he's given next years budget.

Squad needs major overhall and with no money next season will be very bleak.

But we will all be there again :clap2:

I think the coversion of Virgo was a tactical masterstroke, you will get no dispute from me 'fella'. I don't expect huge levels of change in our players but you would hope for some technical improvement for the youngs ones. I don't think it helps MM plays them out of poistion or in the wrong role. McShane looks just as good at the start as he did at the beginning, El-Abd has always looked like a decent player to me just happens to have got his chance this year and to say Hammond has improved, well LI as much as this is about opinions thats just plainly not true. I personally thought Hendo was very bad up until Preston away, at that point he seemed to pick up but never really improved from there.
