Henderson 4 - Not really at fault for any of the goals, exept (partially No3). Quality handball.
Reid 2 - An atypical stinker
Butters 6 - Solid, not a great deal wrong
Hinshelwood 5 - Looked unsure at times
Lynch 7 - Solid and improving all the time. A latter season success.
Carole 6 - Bright at times, but generally sluggish and ineffective
Carpenter 3 - Another games where the second touch is always a tackle
Nicolas 7 - Got busy and in there, Oatway-style in a way Hammond has not been.
Frutos 3 - Lightweight puff.
CKR 7 - Busy, plenty of effort
GNW 5 - Statue-esque, tree-like effort

Loft 6 - On his day, Frutos is better than him, but he showed plenty of desire. Nice finish.

Butters 6? What game were you watching?

He was out of position for the second goal, forgot to jump for the third when he should have been challenging their big bloke up front.

For the fourth goal he should have made a challenge before the ball was knocked out to their left.

The fifth goal was the worst though. Butters clearly put the wrong studs in Reidy's boots before they went out for the second half and because of that stupid error Reidy tripped up and gave the ball away!

Seriously though, it was evident, as it has been in a lot of games towards the end of the season, that he has clearly lost the spring in his legs and has gone from someone that was useful to have in the team because of his experience to somebody that is a liability. I lost a lot of respect for him in the game when Joel Lynch had to go off sick at half time. He spent the whole half moaning at Lynch for being out of position when he kept venturing up the left flank. He was expecting protection due to his lack of pace whilst Lynch was trying to play a natural wing back type role. Sorry Butts, you have been a good servant for the club but we need to move on now.

Maybe he is in need of a decent rest, like most of the team. I honestly think he will be an asset net season.

I didn't go but apart from the Butters rating thats pretty much what my old man reckoned. He's a Chelsea fan and even he was angry about the performance when he got in. Dare I say it but maybe it is time for MM to move on. I'm no ars 'lardo jock clown out' tub thumper but I do feel he really isn't getting the best out of our players. I have often said his management is polarised between very good and very bad decisions but it looks as if the bad are outweighing the good. Trouble is we can't afford to pay him off but the whole thing appears to need some fresh blood. My main worry is that the development of our talented youngsters is gonna be hindered by our current managment.

Mayo - 8 Ran up and down the line without error
Robinson - 9 Shaked Fat Bay Slims hand with decent strength
Gatting - 9 Great passing and shooting during half time
El Abd - 7 Made a smashing sandcastle in the sand pit
Chaignaeu - 7 Made some good saving in the pre match build up

Did anybody else feature today, can't remember seeing anybody else of note in a stripy light blue shirt, other than maybe Loft who ran around the pitch a lot and will be remembered for his goal rather than his poor miss just before.

Gutless
Limp
Disorganised
Bereft of quality
Disrespectful to the supporters

Applies to everyone on the pitch except Lynch and Loft.

Henderson is class, he is a International goalkeeper. his problem is he is with a team of amateurs.

Harsh but true.

Thought Kazim-Richards, Carole and Loft were decent today, Lynch OK and Henderson was largely blameless. The rest either made too many errors or just couldn't impose themselves on the game. The biggest disaster was the huge space that Stoke exploited in between our defence and central midfield.

But still, it was a meaningless game and bad displays like this can happen if the intensity is off. Even though we've had a very disappointing time these past nine months, that was not the team we've seen all season, they are better than that.

Let's hope the guys who are staying with us now have a decent rest. McGhee is promising a harder pre-season training regime than ever before so let them enjoy it while they can.
