Blayney 8 Superb - at least 3 great saves. I really hope he signs, better than Shabaan on this form.

Reid 6 - Got an excellent goal, but passing not at his best.
Butters 7 - Another fine display.
Dolan 6 - Good stuff from the newbie.
El Abd 6 - Some nervous moments but generally fitted in well.
Harding 6 - Battled hard and no mistakes.

Chippy 5.5 - Struggled with his passing range.
Hammond 7 - Strong performance, a few missed passes but some strong runs and very unlucky to be subbed.
Oatway 8 - Our MOTM, the heart of our performance once again, faultless passing and brave tackling.

Big Mac 6 - Another wholehearted display, earned us a blatant pen and unlucky that Jake's cross was just too high to get power and depth on his header.
Virgs 6 - Busy and committed.

Robinson 7 - Very promising, his runs off the ball gave us an added dimension, will now play a role in all our forthcoming games.
Jonah 6 - a couple of decent runs.
McPhee - no real time.

Blayney 8, class saves.

Butters 6, decent.
Dolan 5, struggled a little.
El Abd 7, coped well with De Vries, passing a little poor.

Harding 6, did well in flashes.

Hammond 7, industrious but a little quiet.
Oatway 8.5, outstanding, lead by example, passed well.
Chippy 7.5, some fine passes, great tackles but faded out of the game occasionally.

Reid 6, brilliant one moment, awful the next, great goal.

McCammon 6, put himself about, won two penalties (in the eyes of anyone without a lobotomy), missed a decent chance.
Virgo 7, a handful, occasional poor touches but did well on the whole.

Subs: Robinson 8, Jones 7, McPhee 6.

McGhee 8, Crowd 9.

Fully agree about Reid....took his goal well but his delivery today was not good.
I think Jake was worth an 8 as he was the one player that looked confident and i feel he needs to be given the nod ahead of Big Mac. Given better service, Jakey will score goals.......he is developing into a quality player and his spell out on loan has done him good.

I'm not going to fall into the obvious trap of going overboard on Jake - his movement was very good but he was not faultless, like all our strikers. But fair play to him, he did well, and he's given McGhee's a good problem (when did we last have one of those?) and will be in with a shout at starting. If he makes it though, he'll replace Virgs rather than Big Mac, who was just that little bit more effective than his striking partner today. But to be honest, I think he'll still probably be used from the bench again. As will Leon when he comes back.

This starting team was excellent today and barring specific tactical challenges/opportunities posed by specific oppositions, which McGhee will still have the guts to address pro-actively, I think this is the team that will start from now on.

Blayney 8 Looks better and better..

Reid 6 - Good goal, a few too many wayward passes.
Butters 7 - As good as Dublin was
Dolan 6 - An unfortunate hand ball, perhaps deliberate??
El Abd 7 - Considering not many 1st team games showed he has balls.
Harding 7 - Kept going looking better recently.

Chippy 6 - Improving but shows he had 3 games out.
Hammond 6 - Disappointing again I thought. Lacks that first touch.
Oatway 9 - MOTM, shame he can't do this every week.

Big Mac 5 - Honest but lacking that skill in front of goal
Virgs 7 - Excellent worker, not his best game but solid.

Robinson 8 - Looking sharp, come on....play him every game from the start!!!
Jonah 5 - Shows we are short in midfield.
McPhee - Not on long enough

Blayney 8 Solid and vocal. Looks a good signing

Reid 7 - Awesome goal, a good outlet but passing not always great
Butters 8 - commanding presence
Dolan 6 - Won a lot in the air, distribution iffy.
El Abd 6 - Quiet game, escaped blatant handball late on.
Harding 7 - Did well, particularly good clearence off the line
Chippy 6 - Not his usual standard but alright
Hammond 7 - Did well i thought, lots of running and tackling. Good use of the ball as well
Oatway 8 - Great all round performance.

Big Mac 6 - Poor. sluggish and could have done better with header
Virgs 7 - chased everything but didn't really have any oppurtunities

Robinson 7 - Looked very useful. Changed the game. Although lightweight lots of intelligent runs and almost created mcCammon goal. Should've had penalty
Jonah 6 - a few runs, nothing else
McPhee 6- Not on for long.

All in all i'm fairly pleased. a win next week takes us out of the zone i believe

Blayney 8 - Can we keep him?

Reid 6.5 - Excellent goal, but passing not at his best. Back in his strongest position?
Butters 7 - A rock
Dolan 6 - Decent
El Abd 7 - Did well, provided the extra pace we needed at the back.
Harding 6 - No mistakes. Also back in his strongest position?

Chippy 6 - Got about, worked, made tackles, passing let him down at times.
Hammond 7 - Strong performance, a few missed passes but some strong runs and very unlucky to be subbed.
Oatway 7.5 - IMO it's not a coincidence that he looks good back in a midfield three.

Big Mac 6 - Should have scored from Jakey's cross.
Virgs 6 - Busy and committed.

Robinson 7 - good runs on and off the ball, caused the Liecester defence serious problems.
Jonah 6 - a couple of decent runs, needs to show for the ball.
McPhee 5 - Done nothing to show he offers anything McCammon, Virgs, Jakey and Leon don't.
