Just back from what was a good performance and a well earned point...

Sullivan - 9 - Amazing save from Fryatt when they hit the bar, and a few good saves after...
Whing - 7 - Solid, and in the first 20 mins looked like the only defender who had settled down
Elphick - 8 - Some crucial interceptions and tackles
Hinsh - 7 - Looked shaky in the first 20 mins, and gave the ball away a couple of times but improved after that
Livermore - 6 - Not the long term answer at LB
Birchall - 7 - Didnt see much of him in the first half but got well into the game in the second.
Jarrett - 6 - I have to admit I thought he hadnt touched the ball in the first half - again seemed to get more into it as the game wore on
Fraser - 8 - I have always wondered what Fraser was about - tonight he showed it, tireless running, breaking up play, and simple passing
El Abd - 7 - Sat back well and stopped some attacks
Cox - 8 - Really thought he was going to supply a winner early in the second half
Forster - 9 - Fantastic performance... ran and ran and closed down constantly - how does he do it at 35? Deserved a goal for his effort

Sub: Loft - 6 - Not on long enough

All in all a good battling performance and we could even have nicked it had we had a bit of luck. I can see potential in Birchall and I think Jarrett just needs some games... do we start with this team on Sat, can't really play 4-5-1 at home so should be Fleetwood for El Abd i would say.

I'd agree with most of that, other than Jarrett who I felt merited an 8, behind joint MoM - Forster, Elphick and Sullivan.

Sullivan - 9, amazing save.
Whing - 7
Hinsh - 7
Elphick - 7
Livermore - 6, looked shaky and out of position (which he was to be fair) especially first half
Birchall - 6.5, some good signs
Fraser - 7
El-abd - 6, not a centre midfielder, cant pass a ball.
Jarrett - 6, agree with the first poster that im pretty sure he didnt touch the ball in the first half
Cox - 8, some excellent breaks, and even managed to beat the first man from a couple of crosses as well!!
Forster - 9, Joint MOTM with sullivan. Fantastic running, as well as setting up some chances and winning a fair few balls up front alone.

Loft - not enough time to do anything.

Adams - 5, pretty standard tactics of putting 5 in midfield. Thought he should have made more use of the subs avaliable and bought some fresh legs on towards the end, as forster especially looked f***ed after about 70 mins.

Fans - 9, a pretty good turn out given the curcumstances, a reasonable amount of noise, and some celebrations and singing at the end!!

Overall I thought we played really well at some points of play, even outplaying leicester, including for the first 15-20 odd mins of the 2nd half, while at other times we also played really badly.
All in an excellent battling point away at the league leaders, and some encouraging signs. If we play like that, and put the effort in, against 'weaker' teams we will win games no doubt about it.

Sullivan - 9 - 2/3 great saves, especially the one that came off the bar
Whing - 7 - Probably one of his best performances this season
Elphick - 8 - Quality, kept the leicester frontline very quiet
Hinsh - 7 - Same as elphick apart from first half hour, I thought he was playing with an injury but seemed to sort himself out after that
Livermore - 7 - Very impressed, clearly need another left back but prefer him there to richards to be honest.
Birchall - 7 - Few good passes and runs, should be an asset after a few more matches to get fit.
Jarrett - 7 - Maybe a bit stale but looks positive, certainly an improvement on what we have.
Fraser - 6 - Anonymous, worked very hard as usual but didnt impose himself on the game
El Abd - 7 - Clearly not a midfielder, few clumbersome touches but did his job well.
Cox - 7 - Few good crosses especially the left footed one, looks like he may be on his way back
Forster - 10+++ - Does that man ever stop running? Held the ball up well and looked a threat all evening

sullivan - 8. two good saves, very confident. stick with him
whing - 7. solid performance, dealt with the left winger (dyer?) very well
livermore - 6. flaired it up by attempting to beat players in our own half. very comfortable on the ball, which suggests he should be in midfield....
hinshelwood - 6. poor first 30 minutes where he looked all over the shop, improved as the game went on
elphick - 7. couple of dodgy moments, but held the defence together well
birchall - 7. a lot lot better than saturday. got involved more, but still tends to cut inside a lot
fraser - 6.5. ran around a lot. one CORKING effort with an attempted volley from around 25 yards that simply FLEW into the air and out for a goal kick
el-abd - 6. see above. minus the volley
jarrett - 8. very impressed. got forward well to support forster, and a couple of great touches and lay offs. if we can get him fitter and he keeps this up, could be a really good find for us
cox - 7. couple of good balls into the box, especially in nearly creating an own goal when he didnt cut back. corners were abysmal though
forster - 8. worked ridiculously hard, and for a 35 year old who is being asked to play alone up front in a team who 60% of the time employed hoof ball tactics, he was superb

Tony Thorpe the SCR summariser remarked that he was impressed with BHA because they didnt resort to hoof ball tactics and tried to play football through the midfield. One of you is wrong but I was not there so not sure which one.

We actually played some quite good stuff but Forster still had a lot to chase in the channels as well as the odd hoof and the general closing down.

i was pleasantly suprised with how much we DID actually play the ball on the ground tonight - most of it coming through jarrett, as we finally had a midfield player who wanted the ball from the back, and rather than get his head down and simply knock it back 10 yards, try and create something

it was certainly the least hoof-reliant performance i have seen for a long time, but id say 60% of our game was long ball - still, thats a massive improvement on recent weeks, especially given the opposition. forster was still being forced to work his arse off to collect the hopeless punts that did come forward, and i think that is reflected in the fact that EVERY rating for him so far has commented on his excellent work rate

At least 60% is a lot better than ther usual 90% so perhaps we may yet have a midfield worth mentioning. Cant wait for Saturday hope they do not disappoint us at home.

definitely - if jarretts performance tonight wasnt just a flash in the pan, and we can get him up to match fitness levels, then we may finally have a midfield player who can do something with the ball

Sullivan 8 - Some quality saves and played a big part in our point
Whing 7 - Solid
Elphick 8 - Some good headders from defence and nearly scored twice with headders from corners
Hinshelwood 7 - Coming on very well from his injury
Livermore 7 - Had a job to do and did it very well
Birchall 7 - Looks quite good on the right, should come on well
El Abd 6 - Typical El-Abd performance, got stuck in and won his tackles
Jarrett 8 - Looked very good, wanted the ball, nice touches, got stuck in to help out with the defending and some good passes
Fraser 7 - Wasnt pretty, but covered alot of ground and played a part in breaking down the Leicester attacks
Cox 7 - Better than the last few times Ive seen him, got forward to help Forster and his corners have improved but still not as good as we all know he can play
Forster 7 - Lots of running, and led the line well on his own, but needed a bit more help when he got the ball

Loft - Not enough time to get a rating but deserves a mention for nearly winning the game with his first (and maybe only?) touch

MoM - Im split between Sullivan, Elphick, Jarrett and possibly Forster

Compared to his headder (Sullivans 'wonder save') it was a pretty hard shot

Didn't see the header as wasn't in yet. The one in injury time looked a fairly simple tap in from about 3 yards, he seemed to have presumed it was already in and leathered it. Might be wrong though, will have to have a look at the replay.

The match report said he was 12 yards out.

His headder was about 2 yards out but it was strait at Sullivan (although it still took a very good save to keep it out). A foot either side and it was a certain goal.
