Player ratings vs Wolves

Not one of our best displays, but we did what we needed to do.

Kuszczak 8. Not a lot to do. One fumble, but generally solid.
Spanish Dave 8. Couple of misplaced passes, but otherwise filled the RB slot very well.
Greer 8. Very solid.
Upson 8. Ditto.
Painter 7. Did just fine defensively and contributed to the attack on two or three occasions.
Bridcutt 8. Another very good game.
Crofts 7. Good game. He seems to have improved in the latter part of the season.
Barnes 7. Didn't stand out, but a decent performance.
Vicente 5. A couple of sublime bits of football, but for the most part did very little of note. We play a lot better without him. Our weakest link.
Lua Lua 9. Two very good goals, some decent defending and an all-round great game.
Ulloa 7. Some nice touches, but wasn't really his day.
Subs:
El Abd 7. Slotted in well.
Hammond 7. Ditto.
Barker N/A. Thought he would have been given longer.

Kuszczak 6.5. A few fumbles, wasn't too nervous as we were 2-0 up though.
Spanish Dave 7.5. Great technique, movement, passing and reading of the game. Minus 0.5 for a few misplaced passes.
Greer 7.5 Good at the back
Upson 7.5. Very solid
Painter 7. Fine
Bridcutt 8. Another very good game.
Crofts 7.5. Got stuck in, 2nd best performance I've seen since his return. Good tackles and some nice link up play.
Barnes 7. Nothing special, nothing bad.
Vicente 5.5. Pretty anonymous, would prefer Orlandi to start.
Lua Lua 9. Two very good goals, some decent defending and an all-round great game.
Ulloa 7.5. Amazing hold-up play and touches, really is the real deal. Would have been 8 but for two easy misses.

Really? He added nothing going forward, he was OK defensively, that was all.

But he's a defender. We had more than enough attacking threat without Painter needing to get involved. He's not the quickest, so chances are if he got forward he wouldn't have been able to get back and do his job. Had a good game IMO.

Got to admit that's my excuse. KLL goals were both superb otherwise gets a bit patchy!

Times gives us all 7s and 8s and KLL 9. Probably about right. Vicente was quiet again but needs a games to get back up to full speed. Ulloa was well marshalled but worries the hell out of defenders so a real asset even when back to goal all game.

Perhaps it's harsh to compare him to Bridge as they are clearly in a different league. But when Bridge plays he is one of our best attacking players as well as solid defensively.

Totally agree about Ulloa. How he resists twxting the defenders who wrestle him week after week I have no idea. Man is a super star.
