What are the chances of keeping Owusu and Dicker for next season? And also keeping Slade? He seems to love it down here and said we are the best fans he has ever worked for!

Kuipers - 4 Shoddy, people are blaming El-Abd for the second half defending (and he wasn't good) but Kuipers can't have helped their nerves.

Whing - 7 Defended strongly, idiotic red.
Elphick - 8 Very good.
Virgo - 7 Generally good, occasionally his positioning was not great.
Borrowdale - 6 A few dodgy moments at 0-0 but grew into the game.

Dicker - 8 Best game I've seen him have for us by miles, broke things up and played good passes to feet (had a hand in the goals)
Loft - 6 Seems more confident on the ball, but off it he's often behind the play despite working hard.
Fraser - 6 Typical Tommy. He puts a lot in but not a massive amount of quality, this formation suits him.
Cox - 8 I am loving his return to form, buzzed about and always dangerous.

Hart - 9 As Vulture said, this is the best he's played for years. Brilliant link up play, passing, worked SO hard, defenders nightmare. Looks to have regained a little pace too?
Owusu - 8 Bit lucky with the first goal (though he had to be there), second was nicely taken and good cross for the first. Good target man performance.

El-Abd - Had an absolute mare.
Jarrett - 6 Hard working display which was nice to see.
Andrew - 4 Not very good. Davies is better.

Totally agree. Really concerened when elphick went off and elabd came o. Then we struggled. Crucial RS gets this sorted for Tues as it is our cup final. A win will put us in the driving seat for safety.

Well done to RS as finally he has got the boys battling all over the pitch and looking a threat with or without the ball.

Have to agree, we looked good 1st half and then when el abd cam eout instead of elphick we really struggled.

BUT Hart and Owuso look a really good pairing. For once we looked a threat all of the time we had the ball and they really pressured their defence into errors.
Well done to RS as he looks like he has got them going at last. (3 wins in 4 is good going in my books). Consi:clap:dering the dross we have had to endure before this.

Kuipers 5 - Looked flappy and rattled from kick off. One good save in the second half during Oldham pressure.

Whing 6 - Hard to rate as had a typically strong performance until one silly action got him sent off. The ref was an officious moron and there was no question Whing would be penalised for kicking the ball away.

Elphick 7 - Solid, shame about the injury. Still hoofs needlessly.

Virgo 8 - Good strong performance, and slightly better distribution than Elphick.

Borrowdale 7.5 - Good.

Fraser 7.5 - Can't agree with a lot of the detractors on here. Not always been the biggest fan of Fraser but we know what he CAN do, which is break up play, and he did that very well today.

Dicker 6.5 - Dodgy at points, inconsistent but showed glimpes of quality and helped Fraser win the midfield war.

Loft 7 - More of this please.

Cox 8 - Looked very confident, some really nice touches and even helped out defensively when needed. Good run for his goal.

Owusu 9 - Did everything required of him, made it difficult for himself at points but two goals and an assist tells it's own story.

Hart 9.5 - Hard to fault, fantastic close control and was a constant source of good football.

Subs -

El-Abd 4 - Not good enough for the first team, so slow being turned at one point by an Oldham player going through on goal.

Jarrett 6 - Not much to say really.

Davies - Not enough time to say.

Was Hart realy worth a higher mark than Owusu (on most peoples ratings),or is it just because he's "Gary Hart"?

Probably not. Two goals and an assist should get MOM (and did)

BUT.. every time OGH won the ball, or trapped a long ball, or skipped past a defender, or flicked it through for Lloyd or Coxy, I'm thinking 'thats Gary Hart!' and shaking my head in amazement. I never ever thought I would see Harty leading the line for Brighton again, let alone doing it so well. I checked the clock - 16.30 was the time that he did something that wasn't executed perfectly, 70 minutes into the game. Awesome performance

Agree with most of these, but Kuipers made some quality saves and interceptions. As several top sportsman have been known to say 'The more I practise, the luckier I get!'

I was strongly against Gary Hart getting a new contract and have been very negative about him for about three seasons but he was astonishing today. As hard as nails, never stopped running (although he was clearly out of gas after an hour) and he was quite literally unplayable for about half an hour.

El Abd was once again woeful and is seriously short of what is required at this level. And Fraser, sadly, is not much better.

Agree.
