Kuipers 6 - not much to do
Whing 6 - improved in the second half
Elphick 7 - really impressed
El-Abd 6.5 - the odd shanked ball, but turning into a trooper
Richards 7.5 - looked really good and is starting to get his confidence. Good interview after the game too
Bowditch 7 - liked his work
Fraser 7.5 - looked quality whilst he was on
Thomson 6 - quiet
Cox 6 - didn't go past anyone and had "13 minutes of silliness" (but he still can pick out the odd exquisite pass)
Forster 7.5 - moved the able looking defence left and right
Murray 8 - superb game (MOM for me)

Subs:
Martot 7 - got the ball on the deck. better than most people give him credit for
Robinson 6 - hmmmm, promised much but...

Crowd - 7 - generally behind the team and tried to lift the side.

Kuipers - 7 - Didn't really have a save to make. But he made some good cross claims.

Whing - 6 - Solid
El-Abd - 6 - Solid
Elphick - 8 - Another great performance, and a great last ditch tackle to prevent us dropping 2 pts
Richards - 8 - Kept the ball on the floor for the most part, and instrumental in setting up a wonderful goal

Bowditch - 5 - Played OK, but capable of much more
Fraser - 7 - Shame he got injured, he looked in fine form until the sub
Thomson - 6 - Solid
Cox - 5 - Not at his best by any means, and frustrating with the timewasting tactics with so long left on the clock

Forster - 6 - Solid, although I feel he should have scored with that free header in the 1st half
Murray - 8 - Looks at ease on the ball, held the ball up brilliantly, and what a cool finish for the goal!

Kuipers 7 - Good Command of the Box
Whing 6.5 - Assured display.
Elphick 8 - Fantastic, Big Future.
El-Abd 6.5 - Did ok.
Richards 8 - Very good, great run for the goal.
Bowditch 6 - Did'nt set the world alight but was solid.
Fraser 7 - Carried on where he left off on Tuesday, shame about the injury.
Thomson 7 - Did his job well and linked up well with Martot in the second half.
Cox 5.5 - Looked Jaded.
Forster 7 - Played on the shoulders of their defence, allways looked dangerous and put in some good crosses, Murray benifits from playing along side Forster, Nicky occupies defenders giving Murray space.
Murray 8 - Great Finish and some good turns, looks like a natural goalscorer.
Subs:
Martot 7 - Played very well, great positional sence and did the simple things well, this is his position and in my view should be given a crack
Robinson 4 - Gave the ball away ever so easily, could have cost us!

Jake gives a glimses of greatness but its just to inconsistant, Im struggling to see where he fits into things going forwards.

How long left on his contract? He needs to find some sort of consistantcy to his game soon!

Kuipers - 7 - Didn't have a real save to make but handling was perfect.

Whing - 7 - Looked as though he had been told not to just hoof everything up the field.
Elphick - 8 - A big future on this showing. Back to his early season form.
El-Abd - 7 - It's a shame he gives the ball away easily once or twice in every game because he was almost very good today.
Richards - 8 - Worth that mark just for the run that set up the goal.

Bowditch - 6 - A couple of decent balls but anonymous for too much of the game.
Fraser - 6 - Looked OK until forced to come off.
Thomson - 7 - Starting to look as though he is getting used the way the game is played at this level.
Cox - 6 - I've seen him play better but still put in a couple of useful balls.

Forster - 7 - Our player of the season so far. Has real quality. If Murray keeps scoring it doesn't matter if Forster doesn't, he still had a huge impact on the game.
Murray - 8 - My MOM. Excellent running with a purpose (unlike Revell). Strong in the air (unlike Bas). Some great touches and a brilliant finish.

Martot - 6 - Did OK when he came on.
Robinson - 4 - I was calling for Robinson to come because I thought he might create the second goal for us. Unfortunately it looks as though we had already decided to run the clock down so it was a crap substitution. Jake is not the world's best defensive midfielder and he gave the ball away far too easily.

Just a note about Adam El-Abd. Once again he had a generally good game, but as always when he does make an error it seems to be a noticeable one? Is he unlucky or is he just getting into the positions where if he makes a slip it gets noticed?

Certainly far preferable to Guy B in the middle.

Seemed to me yesterday that he instinctively got into good positions so he saw an awfull lot of the ball. Maybe the amount of the ball he saw means he is more likely to make mistakes. Or maybe his good positioning means he places himself in dangerous positions so that any mistake is more noticeable?

I think you could be right. But the two one-eyed supporters I was sitting next to inD block hated him. Couldn't wait for him to fail. Most odd. Even had a rolling 50p bet on his cock-ups.

(added to which, they were fully paid up members of the "we've paid so we have the right to moan" brigade. arrived late, left early and didn't cheer once. Seemed genuinely disappointed that Brighton played well. I'll never work these people out).

:)

I don't WANT to give Martot bad marks, and i'll admit if he does well. See the Huddersfield game for an example.

I gave Cox and Bowditch higher marks because i actually REMEMBER several contributions from them. The same applies for players i've previously considered 'solid'. From Martot however, i recall virtually NO contribution. One misplaced pass, one completed pass and one successful tackle is literally ALL i recall him doing in just over an hour. As i remarked during the match, "I forgot he was playing". Not good enough for me.

Spider is right - definitely a vendetta.
