Sorry to correct you but Khadra was signed for Dortmund last summer.

Sorry to correct the correction but he was released by Dortmund in June 2020.

Trialed with Man U in the summer.

Ended up with us - signed up as a free agent for the U23s.

He scored a couple of individual goals for the U23s. He's strong and fast, can dribble and finish. Bit of a unit like Mitrovic.

Sanchez -8- made some brilliant saves to keep it at 1-0
Veltman -6- did alright up against Foden
Webster -7- carries the ball well but, if I’m being harsh, was at fault for the goal
Dunk -7- body on the line defending and started playing those cross field balls again
Burn -7- I worried for him today after his recent performances but he was brilliant
Bernardo -6- he didn’t start off very well but made some crucial interceptions and delivered a brilliant cross
Propper -6- hit and miss game. Should have done better on the counter in the first half but a decent shot from him too. Unpopular opinion here but I think we are more balanced with him in the team. I thought he would be leaving in January but I hope we keep hold of him.
White -6- had a decent game and is calm on the ball
Macallister -8- MOTM - his passing setting us up on the counter was excellent.
Trossard -6- massive improvement on his last game but sometimes takes too long and tries to by too intricate.
Tau -7- I really enjoyed how direct he was and how he manages to wriggle away from 2-3 players. Reminds me a bit of Knockaert.

Maupay -5- don’t think he touched the ball
March -5- those two corners were terrible
Khedra N/A

Sanchez 6: Some solid saves but picked up a back pass, conceded a penalty(although that stemmed from the ridiculous decision to luz the ball halfway across the pitch at Dunk) and could possibly have done better with the goal.(I'll need to see that again).

Burn 6: One or two heart in mouth moments but overall dealt with a very tricky attack well. Will have done him the world of good after the horror show against Wolves.

Webster 8: Thought he played very well other than Foden breezing past him like he wasn't there, although I'm willing to put that done to a bit of magic by the perma surly faced little manc.

Dunk 8: Excellent apart from the header back to Sanchez but not much he could do with that hospital pass/throw.

Veltman 7: Another good solid performance from him. He's a very dependable option.

White 7: Shielded the back four well, tidy on the ball. Some people aren't going to like the comparison but it was a Stephens-esque performance...

Propper 7: Thought he hand limited impact in the first half, better in the second.

Bernardo 7: Some poor moments in the first half but really grew into the game.

Alexis Mac Allister 8: Reminded me a bit of an on song Propper. Looked really classy on the ball, lovely passing. Playing just behind the front two seems to be his best position.

Trossard 7: Slow to get going but did some decent stuff particularly in the second half

Tau 7.5: Impressive premier league debut. Pace to burn, kept it simple in possession and looked to be direct when attacking. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come rather than the high point of his time with us.

Maupay 6: Tried but out of sorts.

March 6: Had a few moments of promise. Wasted two corners at the death.

Khedra n/a: not on long enough but nice to see another player from the U-23's make their debut.

Sanchez 6.5: Mixed bag from the new no1. Picking up the backpass was frankly ludicrous. But kept us in the game with a series of decent saves.
Burn 6: -Let's be honest, he's comfortably our weakest CB, but he's a tryer .He did a decent enough job yesterday
Webster 8: Has become an increasingly commanding defender.Seems to have been given the Duffy role at set pieces and was immense yesterday.
Dunk 7: Marked down for the penalty, but in fairness, not a lot he could do.
Veltman 6.5: Solid, but not quite up to his usual standard.
White 7: Make-shift centre-mid partnership away to the best team in the land. Not too shabby.
Propper 7: Ditto.
Bernardo 6: Truly terrible moments in the first 20. Thought he was going to cost us. Lokked better when he was pushed forward.
Alexis Mac Allister 8: That pass in the first half :love:.
Trossard 6.5: Decent enough performance, but felt he'd done the heard bit a couple of times only to really waste the opportunity.
Tau 7.5: A very tentative Wow. Looks to be what we're lacking. Which was highlighted further when he came off for Maups.
Maupay 6: Overthinks and overplays.- needs a rest.
March 5: Some good some bad. But the 2 corners at the end were inexcusable.
Khedra n/a: not on long enough but the burst through at the end was nice to see

There seems to be remarkable amount of agreement on this match - I've rarely seen NSC being so consistent in its marking. The only player that has divided opinion is White - and I thought he had a decent game

Like most people, I had Mac Allister as MotM: everyone has highlighted his passing but no-one's mentioned the number of times that he won the ball. I'd thought of him as a ball-playing midfielder but he put a real shift in and won some crucial tackles. Let's hope he can kick on from there and this isn't a flash in the pan; if he continues to play like that, we have a hell of a player.

Sorry to correct you but Khadra was signed for Dortmund last summer.

And then he's been in our academy since then.

Almost all of the players in there, we signed from somewhere, White, Alzate, Molumby, Weir

Then we developed them, then they got in the team. Adacemy players

Sanchez 7 -- some good saves
Webster 7 -- Solid maybe could've done slightly better with the goal.
Dunk 8 -- MoM for me showed his England form and held the back line together under a severe examination.
Burn 6.5 -- Did pretty well in the main but always has a mistake in him especially at LB
Veltman 6 - Found Foden tough
White 6 - Not a CM and found wave after wave of attacks swarming through
Propper 6 -- Hit and miss, started well but faded and decision making poor at times
Bernardo 6.5 -- Worked hard provide good protection to Burn. Did a good job without offering anything exceptional.
Tau 7 -- Tight good control and a lively turn of pace. Decision making a bit hit or miss but encouraging debut
Mac Allister 7 Struggled early on but grew into the game excellent 2nd half.
Trossard 6 -- Flittered around but mostly ineffectual

Subs:
March 5 -- Rubbish corners but quite progressive otherwise.
Maupay 5. Fed on scraps
Khadra 6 -- One very good run that hints we may have a bit of a player on our hands

Sanchez 7 -- Some good saves but got lucky at times. Needs to find a way to either push the saves further out or behind rather than to another opponent.
Webster 7 -- Can see why we signed him. A very good footballer. Odd mistake but some very good clearances too. Good going forwards.
Dunk 7 -- Still capable of the occasional slip but getting back to his best. Not sure who took the throw in that led to his short backpass was totally to blame. Stupid decision.
Burn 6.5 -- Doesn't do a lot wrong and supports the LWB well. Better at the back than in midfield though.
Veltman 6 I like him as a player and he rarely gives the ball away. But he is not a RWB.
White 6.5 Played well and made some great tackles.
Propper 5.5 -- Maybe could have scored and pretty invisible at times.
Bernardo 7 -- A shaky start but got better and better. One of his best games for us.
Tau 7.5 -- Seems to have really settled and looked really positive and FAST! Great touch too.
Mac Allister 7 -- This is his position! Take note GP! Played really well. Worked hard and rarely gave the ball away.
Trossard 6 -- He actually looked like he wanted to play ! Much better than recent games.

Subs:
March 5 -- Not sure why he didn't start but it worked. His corners and set pieces are inconsistent though.
Maupay -- Had a great chance to equalise but kept his head down and missed out. A confident striker would have taken a touch and lobbed the goalie.
Khadra 6 -- Not long to show much but what he did looked very promising.

All have been with us much longer than 6 months, im sure even our academy would even take too much credit. Still fantastic to see players making the step up from the U23s.

Can't be arsed to give everyone a score. But Mac was MOM for us without a doubt. That first time through ball to Trossard was sublime. Always liked him and he's getting better.

Sanchez 7 -- several good saves
Webster 6 -- got done for the goal but, apart from that, another storming display by our season's best CB
Dunk 7 -- extremely good today
Burn 6.5 -- pleased for him, good game, got most things right
Veltman 5
White 5.5
Propper 6 -- decent shot, could have done with that first half opening
Bernardo 6.5 -- put a real shift in, a menace, but lacking quality on the ball
Tau 7 -- looked dangerous, rapid and direct
Mac Allister 7 MotM -- extremely creative, composed and a good shift
Trossard 6 -- good creativity, unfortunately it didn't come to anything

Subs:
March 5 -- two poor corners, but quite dynamic beyond that
Maupay 5.5
Khadra 6 -- looked up for it

I agree although would give Webster a higher mark.

Mac Alister was superb. There was one forward pass which released a player (poss Trossard) which he made on the volley with an outstretched foot...so classy.

I also think Sanchez is improving game by game. Seems more composed, makes great saves, and also, very noticeably, more comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Mac Alister was MOM and shows a quickness of thinking with his passing, something we have been missing. Plays the sort of ball that should suit all of our forward line , quick , into space which they can run onto.

Webster was very good but perhaps could have done better for the goal.

Dunk had a great game , stupid header aside but to be fair not much he could do.

Sanchez showed error but more confident with him in goal as a shot stopper and more dominant for crosses.

I am not sure I will rave too much about Tau, good game but really needs to drive into the box full on to try to score rather than pass....

Pleased for Burn as he put a shift in and didn't look out of place , more like the player last season whose 'energy' was a significant contribution.

Trossard just doesn't look fit .

Disappointed with Veltman worst game for us.

I think you're right on all of that. RE marks, on reflection, most of the players deserve a slightly higher mark, but also think you're right on Webster -- his mistake for their goal was no worse than Dunk's (and March's, and probably Sanchez's) for their penalty.

As always, the minutiae of any goal we concede is dissected to death.

Whereas the lead up to the dozens of near misses are completely ignored.

Sanchez senselessly picking up a backpass and giving them an indirect free kick from 10 yards, when he could have easily hacked it up the field, the most glaring example.

Not on the kiddies case, I think he's doing well, but i've barely seen it mentioned.

I agree with this completely
Edit: re Sanchez, the back pass and the penalty were errors (from memory, that might have been another one too), but he did make a lot of decent saves, and looked comfortable in doing so. He's coming along fine and, hopefully, he'll learn from his mistakes.
