Kuipers- 98- because he's COOL

Mayo- 2- he's not so cool and there's a younger, better ginger on the team now.
Lynch- 10- should be captain so that the headlines can say 'lynch mob' etc.
Santos- 8-Loses a point for being a frenchy. Loses another point for being an old frenchy.
Reid10- Steve Irwin has only recently passed away yet reid was still able to go out and play. Inspiring stuff.

Fraser- 8. I halved his age and then deducted a point for being ginger. Seems fair.
Hammond- 10- Great headline making name, captain and scored. Marvellous.
Cox-9- he he he. He's called COX.
Frutos- 9-Loses a point for being a frenchy. Loses another point for being a small frenchy. Gains a point for not whining like a schoolgirl for not having been a regualr so far.

Hart-97- nearly as COOL as the FDM.
Revel-10- he scored and is another player with a name of great headline making potential.

Subs:10. They all sat on the bench in a most magnificent manner.

Bournemouth- 1 point. Bastards.

MOM is a tricky one. I thought Reid was excellent. His distribution was first class, his accurate passing lead to Hammonds goal and several missed chances. But Cox edges it for me, what a player he is going to be. He ran the midfield, something I haven't seen someone in an Albion shirt do for a long time. Fantastic performance from someone so young and inexperienced.

Reid played well but was hardly MoM, on a couple of occasions when he came forward he just needed to cross yet passed it back, also we had a free kick in there half, we had four players in the box and he passed it back ... why? He is good but needs to think a bit more. Hammond is also very frustrating as one minute he excellent the next crap, needs more consistency. However Cox is looking very good in the middle of the park. For me, Revell was MoM, he scored, never gives up and is very effective on the right hand side, a taller version of OGH.

When we kept the ball on the deck we were excellent, however when we went route one we were truly crap.

Unfortunately I couldn't go as I was unwell but it sounds like Hammond had a good match. Did anyone think he looked better with a more defensive midfielder behind him?

Lots of high marks in here considering side was outplayed by 10 men

Have to agree....performance was adequate ..no more...if MM was still in charge there would have been booing at that showing

The team is simply not good enough and its going to be a long hard season

Kuipers 6 - pretty solid, not much to do

Reid 7 - found his form again
Santos 5 - donkey, lost too many aerial battles
Lynch 6 - lost too many aerial battles. Looked a bit lazy at times. One of them let their guy in for the equaliser.
Mayo 6 - solid defensively, 60-yard passes amazing, simple passes shite

Fraser 6 - decent performance for a teenage debutante
Cox 7 - pulled strings in midfield, but a bit lightweight to be in the centre
Hammond 8 - much better display from the skipper. Great goal. The bollocking from Wendy on Monday helped
Frutos 6 - Seen him play better, but fairly dependable. Not much help from Mayo

Revell 7 - ran his bollocks off
Hart 7 - ran his bollocks off

---

Robinson 5 - ran, but still waiting for his bollocks to drop

I thought the official MoM was a joke. Cox had a good spell for around 20 mins after half-time when he sat in the middle passing the ball and making the opposition move. Apart from that he was anonymous. Not supporting the attack, not moving and making himself available. And very lightweight. This is not intended as criticism as he is a young lad - but MoM ? I could not see it.

Hammond takes criticism here - but on last nights performance he was superb. Tackling and making runs. Needs to work on his movement but a really good performance last night.

The real star was Fraser. What a player. He showed his team-mates up for grit, pace, movement, passing. He is a star. No wonder he was knackered at the end.

What last night showed was that we need to play against a man less every week. And we need a striker.

I agree that the squad is severely short on experience and quality, but this is not really the fault of the players or Wilkins, only Dick Knight can be held accountable (or LDC/ Archer etc if it makes the pill easier to swallow). But given the personel we have available, I thought is was an excellent performance full of running, effort and passion. It often lacked end product and a polished quality, but then it will do until we get some polished quality players in. I was just happy to see evidence of spirit and fight once again. Did you see Revell after he scored? I thought his face might actually explode. :lolol:

Agree with every word, you lil' diamond. Was it you that texted me?

That goal celebration from them - like a bunch of screaming, tartrazine-riddled toddlers male-bonding on a trampoline - will linger long in the memory, not least because it was right in front of me. Santos played the role of "concerned parent" very well too.

What are these rating meant to mean ?

If they are a scale of 1-10 relating to the Division we are playing in, then failing to beat a mid-table side with ten men for the majority of the game should mean the average score is somewhere around 4.

I belive thta Dean Wilkins made a mistake in bringing on Jake Robinson and then lumping long high balls towards him which we were not winning.

We had, in my view, 2 options either:

1. Bring on JR and play the ball through the midfield and then release it into space to enable JR to use his pace against their slow defenders.

2. Bring on Guy Butters and push Santos forward as a target man for the last 10/15 minutes to try to win the long balls that we were throwing in. It showed that they werent happy with high crosses when DH sneaked in to score.
