Fiveways
Stockdale 6 -- nice quiet afternoon
Rosenior 6.5 -- got caught a couple of times in dangerous positions, apart from that, top stuff
Hunemeier 9 MotM -- immense, how many headers did he win against the giant Joao? Great marauding run in the first half
Dunk 8 -- captain fantastic
Pocognoli 6.5 -- decent enough return
Knockaert 8.5 -- he was really up for it today, and put in one hell of a shift; extra half point for the rocket he gave Akpom in the first half
Stephens 8 -- bossed it
Kayal 7.5 -- up for it too
Skalak 5 -- stop falling over please
Akpom 3 -- had his chance and fluffed it, just didn't seem interested
Murray 7 -- took his goal well

Subs:
March 7 -- please can he start on Tuesday, please
Hemed 7 -- missed a good chance, but his enthusiasm was infectious and not just on the pitch, he played a part in getting the crowd going
Murphy n/a

The North Stand 10 -- really lifted the team; let CH know who to bring on and when; keep it up fellas
The rest of the crowd was pretty good too; played a role in lifting the team

Likeable bloke but skalak is a league 1 player sadly.....will surely get dropped yet again for up and coming games :)

Withdean area
Stockdale 8 - not troubled by their obsession with high balls
Rosenoir 7 - looked frustrated that Knockaert & others wouldn't pass whilst he waited in acres of space, not his fault.
Pocognoli 4 - rusty and gave away countless unnecessary free kicks in dangerous spots.
Hunemeier 10 - perfection.
Dunk 9 - similar. Side comment - he takes an awful free kick.
Stephens 9 - class act, covering the panicked around him.
Kayal 7 - did nothing wrong, but didn't get his passing game going in a frantic midfield.
Knockaert - similar really.
Skalak 2 - tried, but outpaced, out muscled and out thought by any Blackburn player he came up against. Not for the first time.
Murray 9 - tireless against entire Blackburn back line & goalie, with zero support until Hemed came on. Such a cool finish.
Akpom 0 - can't even give him a token score for athletic effort. Comatose passenger.

Hemed 6
March 8 - class. Composure against a mass of experienced opponents trying to bully him.
Murphy 6

CH - 10/10 for having the guts on 55 minutes to replace the two passengers.

Lancing
Stockdale 6 really not much to do one wobble clearing his line sold short with the back pass
Rosenior 6 just seemed half a yard off the pace at times
Pogonoli 6 took a heavy early tackle that seemed to me affect his game
Hunemeier 9 never lets us down not played all season steps in and forms a perfect partnership with Dunk
Dunk 8.5 no silly mistakes led the team as a true captain
Kayal 7 huffed and puffed not back to his best King Kayal status yet
Stephens 9 best game for some while dominated the midfield
Skalak 7 gets some poor press on here but I think he works hard for the team
Knockeart 8 works so hard but every time he got the ball they had three players on him
Murray 9 worked so hard great goal
Akpom 2 run around a bit

Hemed 8 great substitute revitalised the team
March 8 supper sub what a talent we have for the future
Murphy 6 quiet really needs a song poor lad

If you discount Akpoms little to almost no effort a 10 man Brighton team beat a doggedly determined Blackburn and ground out a result

Stockdale 7 - did his job quietly and effectively.
Rosenior 5 - his worst performance for us, both offensively and defensively. Made at least 3 errors that could've led to goals, and picked the wrong pass at least twice when in good offensive positions. If Bruno is fit Tuesday, he shouldn't be keeping the shirt.
Uwe 9 - the best player on the park. And I'm not sure he actually ran all afternoon. The shirt is his to lose in my book.
Dunk 8.5 - looking calm and solid since he's had Uwe next to him.
Pocognoli 7 - good defensively, but poor crossing lowers his mark.
Knocky 8 - got an assist. Tried to create, but Rosenior's poor game and having Akpom in front of him hindered his effectiveness. I wish CH would let him off the leash a little in games like this.
Stephens 7 - quietly effective, without dominating.
Kayal 7 - see above.
Skalak 5 - worked hard defensively, but his attacking output was worrying. He needs to seriously improve to stay with us this summer.
Murray 7 - held the ball up rather well and scored, but he didn't help Akpom through the game at all.
Akpom 3 - I actually thought he did try, I just thought he was hopelessly out of his depth. Appears to have less of a football brain than my mum. I genuinely am unsure what attributes the scouting department saw in him.

March 7 - came on and added much needed impetus. I'm not entirely sure how Skalak and Akpom are starting games ahead of him at this stage of the season.
Hemed 6 - missed a sitter but worked hard and upped the ante to add impetus to our attacking play. I'm not his biggest fan, but ive no idea how he didn't start today.
Murphy n/a - not much to add.

CH 6 - got a win, but got away with it. Tried to be far too clever with his team, and yet again took far too long to make the necessary changes. Should've brought Akpom off at half time when it was clear he was out of his depth.

Queens Park
Stickdale 6 - one save?
Rosenior 6 - looked the weakest link at the back today. Several errors
Hunemeier 8 - solid. Even good in the final third
Dunk 8 - terrific, but leave the free kicks to someone else
Pocognoli 6.5 - unspectacular
Knockaert - 7 not hugely effective
Stephens 8 -- won the midfield
Kayal 7 - decent
Skalak - 6 some great deliveries
Akpom 4 - we played with ten men for an hour
Murray 8 - MOTM The difference between the two sides

Subs
March - 6
Hemed 7
Murphy n/a

I would agree with that but I don't think Akpom did run around a bit.

Stockdale 7 -- did well with the corners that came in under the bar, some bad distribution
Rosenior 6.5 -- got caught a couple of times in dangerous positions,
Hunemeier 8 -- excellent game
Dunk 8 -- MOTM just edigng Uwe
Pocognoli 6.5 -- not a lot to say
Knockaert 7-- too greedy but can win a game woith that
Stephens 8 -- best performance for a while
Kayal 7.5 -- lots of good simple things done well
Skalak 6-- falling over was daft when put through by Kayal. Does some good thingsd but he is not a winger
Akpom 4 -- he had his chance but showed he is not up for it
Murray 8-- won loads of headers, great work rate and took his goal well

Hemed - 7 showed why he should have started and who says he cannot play when murray is playing looked good together
Marsh 6.5 did not do what we expect from him

Marsh did exactly what we expect. When he had one crossing opportunity we should have gone two up if Hemed made better contact.

Bit of a nail-biter. Pity we didn't score early on when we were dominating ... that would have calmed the nerves.

Stockdale 7. Not a lot to do, but managed to put two consecutive clearances straight into touch in the second half. And flapped at one corner.
Rosenior 5. Very poor today. I was nervous every time he had the ball. Poor passing, poor defending, not much going forward. Hopefully just a blip, but we need Bruno back on Tuesday if fit.
Dunk 8. Loses a point for taking those two free kicks. Otherwise another very good performance.
Hunemeir 9. Very good game. He deserves a lot of praise for slotting in so well after being on the sidelines so long. Joint MOM.
Pocognoli 6. Did OK for first game back.
Kayal 7. OK, but not his best.
Stephens 8. Good game.
Skalak 5. Needs to stay on his feet. May be OK to start him in away games, but why at home against one of the bottom teams? Makes no sense. Not really good enough.
Knockaert 7. Not at his best. Decision making still not great.
Akpom 2. Very poor. No energy, no skill, no interest. Hopefully that's the last we'll see of him.
Murray 9. Worked hard all game and took his goal well. Joint MOM.

Subs:
Hemed 6. Big improvement over Akpom.
March 8. Brilliant ... when he got the ball. Should have started.
Murphy N/A

Manager 5. Should have started March instead of Skalak ... and brought him on earlier when he saw what a poor game Skalak was having. Decision to start Akpom was fair enough, but he should have been hauled off at half time latest when it was glaringly obvious to 30,000 fans what an awful game he was having.

Stockdale 7 Not much to do but did it with complete confidence
Rosenior 5.5 Surprising weak link today
Dunk 7.5 No more free kicks please, Lewis
Hunemeir 9 MoM Actually made Dunk look basic today. Superb performance
Pocognoli 5.5 Rusty
Kayal 6.5
Stephens 7.5
Skalak 6
Knockaert 6.5 Missed Bruno, again
Akpom 5.5 Lacking confidence since nearly scoring in his first two but barely did any less than Murray while he was on. Sick of idiots having to have someone to hate - see also, Skalak, Dunk, Bruno, Barnes... Oh, & anyone that booed or abused him when he went off - just **** off & don't come back
Murray 7.5 Class poachers finish

Hemed 6 Willing & he really, really cares. But God he's slow - & that miss...
March 7.5 Excellent
Murphy N/A

Stockdale - 7 - couple of decent punches, not much to do otherwise
Rosenior - 6 - not at his best. Passing very wayward
BFG - 9.5 - my MOTM by a country mile, near-faultless performance. Composed and strong in the tackle, brilliant in the air and a couple of huge blocks.
Dunk - 8 - very solid but outshone by BFG
Pocognoli - 7 - solid enough
Kayal - 7.5 - decent game
Stephens - 8 - controlled the middle
Skalak - 6.5 - doesn't deserve the pelters he's getting in some parts
Knocky - 7 - some bright spots, but a few bad decisions and a fair amount of petulance
Murray - 7.5 - ran himself into the ground for the cause
Akpom - 4 - very poor, but anyone booing our own players deserves a f***ing slap

Hemed - 7 - 100% effort as always
Murphy - 6.5 - did ok
Solly - 7 - couple of decent runs against a tiring defence
