It would not have mattered who we played or indeed which club west ham had played against outside the top six - after seven home games without a win, the next side was going to get a tonking. It was bad luck it happened to be us.

i'm finding it hard to see how people scored greer so highly today - his passing is good and he reads the game well.......so much so that when he fears that the opposing forward (Cole, Roberts, Lambert) is going to get the better of him he stays miles away and leaves El Abd to mark him (with a height difference of over 6 inches). His leadership was poor today dishing out bollockings after the event and was nowhere to be seen as the goals continued to flow. Watch him next match, every corner for or against he justs blocks and leans into the forward and never actually makes a challenge to win a header.

Been saying this EXACT thing for ages. Theres only a small minority that actually see that he's shocking in the air and is getting slower every game. He's even started resorting to bollocking everyone else now for his mistakes too. BUT, he is decent with the ball at his feet.

But be warned - truthfull comments about the club captain will be met with stern resistance from the rose tinted brigade, who think he's god and couldnt possibly be picked out as a possible weak link in the side.
