Kuzczack 7
Bridge 6
El Abd 7
Greer 6
Calde 8
Bridcutt 9 MOM
Hammond 7
Orlandi 8
Lopez 7
Barnes 6
Buckley 5

Subs: All 6 but Kaz was pulled back when through on goal and the referee got it wrong again.

The number 10 for Derby (Ward was it) made a huge difference when he came on and their 7 Coutts was good too.
I would go with these with the exception of Hammond who gets a 5. Too many fouls and slows the game down too much for me

Kuszczak-7 - Didn't have much to do but what he did was good, distribution improving.
Calderon-8 -Decent pass to Lopez to start 1st goal and assist for second goal. People giving him less than 7 don't know which game you were watching!
Greer-8 - 100th game, quality first touch tonight and improving in second half of the season.
El-Abd-7 - Standard quality performance
Bridge-7 - Made a few decent runs.
Bridcutt-9 - MOM - Awesome and improving as a player, would be surprised if we manage to keep him next season. He will be playing at the very top very soon.
Hammond-6 - Wasn't that good today, Would like to see Dicker get more time.
Lopez-7 - Improving every game, very versatile which is refreshing.
Orlandi-7 - Didn't see anything amazing today but always worth playing as he can win games.
Buckley-6 - People leave off Buckley he's just come back from an injury, looked tired tonight, will be back to usual form in the next few games.
Barnes-8 - Played very well today holding the ball up and bringing other players in.

Subs 6 -

Kuzczack 6 - did what he needed to do
Bridge 7 - efficient as always
El Abd 7 - sound again..
Greer 7 - sound and nearly scored. - it was on target!
Calde 8 - played well.. Should have scored.. Defensively better than Bruno?
Bridcutt 8 - I saw him give the ball away 3 times! Prob our best player again and taking on the CMS mantle of applauding fans after game..
Hammond 7 - good game and was involved in a lot!
Orlandi 6 - think out wide not as effective. Great header but missing the sitter on65 mins did not help us!
Lopez 6 - more effective out wide... Tidy!
Barnes 7 - thanks Ashley.. Ell played - held ball up well at times and put those doubters back in their cage!
Buckley 6 - coming back from injury .. Looked a threat and the 70 mins did him good?.

Subs: All

Gus 7 - picks another good team and felt subs were right for game!

I don't like giving numbers for performances so I'll just give a brief summary of my opinions

Kuszczak - Didn't have a lot to do in the first half - couldn't do anything about the goal but was strong under pressure as they started lumping the ball in to the box
Calderon - A very solid performance, good cross for the second goal
El Abd - Looked more comfortable than normal on the ball in the first half (even threw a stepover into the mix under pressure in the corner) and typically robust as they put pressure on
Greer - Solid and dependable but for a couple of errors in the first half under pressure from Sammon could have been very costly
Bridge - Didn't seem to get forward as much as normal, especially as they came into the game but very reliable
Bridcutt - Bossed midfield as per usual. Felt like he gave the ball away a couple of times and was a bit scrappy in possession than normal but battled hard and lead by example
Hammond - Seemed to cover a lot of ground and kept things ticking over without ever really having a key involvement in anything
Lopez - Bit of a mixed bag I felt. On the whole played well but gave the ball away a bit sloppily at times. Good awareness to find so much space and to pick out Barnes at the right time for the goal
Orlandi - Played well but perhaps could have been involved a bit more. Should have made it 3-0
Buckley - Couldn't get into the game; didn't get much chance to run with the ball but made a superb tackle in our box in what was a dangerous Derby attack after tracking all the way back from their left back
Barnes - Played very well, especially with his back to goal in the air and chesting it down to give the ball to a supporting midfielder. Should have been a bit more aggressively direct with the ball when put through from the halfway line

Subs:
Dicker - Tried to put himself about but by time he came on they were bypassing midfield with long balls
KLL - Didn't get much of the ball but when he did was clever with it either playing a smart pass or drawing a foul. Defended well too
Crofts - Didn't have time to make an impact really, just provided an extra body in midfield

Kuszczak - 8 Did what he had to and a couple of good stops
Calderon - 8, back in the team looking like he'd never left.
Greer - 6 solid enough
El Abd - 6 solid enough again, less theatrics but a couple of good blocks early on.
Bridge - 7 Fairly quiet going forward nice and tidy in defence.
Bridcutt - 9 Immense as always
Lopez - 8 Some sublime passes
Hammond- 5 Too slow and ponderous at times
Orlandi - 7 I think he needs to be in the middle, still maintained his good form.
Barnes - 5, would have been much higher but didn't get shots off when through, and gave the ball away loads, because the ref didn't like him!
Buckley - 6 Seems to have lost his shooting boots, and needs the games, unlike Calde.

I'd go with the same scores.

The hold up play from Barnes today was great. We've missed that with CMS.

Kuszczak - 7 - Very solid but not truly tested
Calderon - 8 - Very good today. Bruno is going to have to up his game to get back in
Bridge - 7 - Not his best game but pretty solid
Greer - 7 - Solid but still gets turned a little too easily
El-Abd - 7 - As with Greer and seemed to do well against a taller, faster and stronger player in Sammon
Orlandi - 8 - Lovely header but tired massively before he came off
Lopez - 8 - Same as Orlandi but is starting to look a properly good player
Bridcutt - 9 - Running out of superlatives to through at this lad
Hammond- 7 - Very solid and is growing into the team nicely.
Buckley - 6.5 - Looked a bit off the pace today and we lost something when he and Barnes switched around
Barnes - 8.5 - Excellent today. Good positioning to score and what a difference it makes to have a striker who can win headers and hold up the ball!

Subs:
Lua Lua - 7 - Fast and direct as you'd expect
Dicker - 6 - Shored up the midfield nicely
Crofts - N/A - Didn't think he was on long enough to make an impact

Gus - 8 - Put out a strong lineup. Maybe could have put on his subs a tad earlier when Derby were starting to get a grip but he'll rightly be pleased.

Referee - 3 - At best he was appalling. The blatant body check on Lua Lua was the pick of the bunch. He was irritatingly picky but there were countless occasions when he'd make a massive show of moving players back on throws and free kicks only to give up and let him take it wherever he wanted.

Interesting to see Vicente in the squad but more interesting to Dobbie be the one to drop out. With Ulloa and CMS returning its going to be very interesting to see how this plays out for him. Barnes played well today and brings a lot to the team, Hoskins is clinical and CMS is still our main striker. I imagine Ulloa to come in above all of them Its could be a struggle for him to get back in the squad let alone the first team.

I thought we went ahead so early, and were so comfortable, that the game kinda died for a while. It didn't feel, even when we were dominating, like it was a great performance. Good, dominant, comfortable, but not great. Not one where lots of our players should be in the 8s and 9s, imo.

Kuszczak 6 - Comfortable, some good kicking finding Barnes quite regularly
Calderon 7 - good ball to lopez for first goal, stepped in like he hadn't been out
Greer 5 - Don't remember a pass to Calderon again, almost played in a derby player when attempting a pass back, risked a red card bringing their player down when he would have been clean through (fortunately the ref gave nothing), a weak shot straight at the keeper, but a couple of good clearances and clean ups
El Abd 6 - comfortable, some good blocks that must have stung in that weather
Bridge 6.5 - not as marauding going forward that I noticed, but a competent performance
Orlandi 7 - good finish, some nice turns and passes
Bridcutt 8 - Strong performance
Hammond 6 - Good, some quiet periods,
Lopez 7.5 - Great run and pass to set up barnes for what is an unmissable opportunity. Did he provide the second?
Buckley 7 - decent buckley performance
Barnes 7 - Could hav done better with a couple of chances where the ball got caught under his feet, but he recovered from at least one of them to put buckley in a great position, did well to win the ball a lot, though didn't always control it as well as he can

Lualua 6.5 - some good runs to ease pressure, but no real penetrating pacey runs.
Dicker 6 - not sure I noticed him do much
Crofts - Not really on long enough, bad or good

First half we scored so early and Derby didn't seem to have any plan. Second half we seemed to sit back after missing a couple of great opportunities, and that let them get back into it, and they kept momentum. Defiant in defence, and more worried than we should have needed to be, but a good win, imo.

Player Ratings v Derby at home.
Tom - 8, one save to make plus the backheader at the end when heart in mouth
Calderon - 7
Greer - 6, did enough, same ball time and again down left - hollywood pass!
El abd - 6, wanted a fight all day long, still recovering from Watford f*** ups
Bridge - 7, nothing spectacular, a little immobile today by his high standards
Bridders - 11, wonderful enforcement throughout and outjumped EVERYONE!
Buckers - 8
Hammond - 6, lumpy, rocky start
Orlandi - 8
Lopez - 6, good distrbution
Barnes - 8, best game in ages preferring to be lone striker and not behind in midfield

LuLu 4, expected more when he came on, ineffective

Overall we did our best to drop 2 points in the end, but Ifor one would have been spitting feathers!
Fingers crossed for CMS:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
