Yes, but ideally that's where the midfielders should be tracking back.

I felt Bruno, Greer and Dunk were all to blame.

It's like last week's discussion about whether 5 or 6 is average never happened*.

I must have missed the conclusion to this.

My view is that after an average team performance for the league in question you start with every player as a 5 and mark up or down accordingly.

Then if the team performance is good you start at an average of 6 or whatever you feel is appropriate to reflect their part in the better performance. Obviously a poor team performance you start at 4 etc etc

The solid central axis makes this team very hard to beat, great performance despite the draw. Cardiff were nowhere after the first 15 mins. We were the only team in it and looked a top side.

Stockdale - 7 - becoming a very reliable keeper
Bruno - 9 - Stand out performance defo MotM, such great ball skills
Greer - 7 - very solid, good brain, reliable
Dunk - 8 - everywhere, great performance
Bong - 6.5 - skilful but can be a bit of a luxury player, sometimes careless
Rosenior - 6.5 - Needs a bit more, not assured enough
Kayal - 8 - Albion lynchpin
Stephens - 8.5 - Very solid and skillfull
March - 8 - nervous early on, but improved to have a really good game
Hemed - 6 - not so influential this time round
Baldock - 7 -- awesome runs and positional play, looking good this season

Zamora - 6 - Not so much time to impress but solid
Elvis - too little action to judge

Stockdale - 6.5 - Not much to do.
Bruno - 7.8 - reads the game so well
Greer - 7.3 - First choice centre back IMO.
Dunk - 6.8 - At fault for their goal. I think we would have won if Uwe played.
Bong - 6.7 - Far from his best performance for us. Little bit sloppy at times.
Rosenior - 7.0 - I've seen better from him but decent enough.
Stephens - 8.8 - Quality player. Everything went through him
Kayal - 7.6 - Dominated with Stephens.
March - 8.0 - Second half was the best i have ever seen him play. Deserved an assist or two.
Hemed - 6.8 - decent movement but nothing fell for him.
Baldock - 7.5 - was just missing a goal from beig MOM. But unfortunatly his finishing really lets him down. Could/should of had a hatrick.

Zamora - 6.8 - Not sure it was the right sub. Played some nice hold up and nice passes but seemed very slow and off the pace.
Manu - 6.5 - Nothing of note.

Everyone has the right to score as they see fit, and these ratings will always be subjective, but THAT is INSANE. Just read what you've written! 'Should have had a hat-trick'. 'Finishing really lets him down'. Score: 7.5!?

What would you have given him if he'd tucked a couple away? 15?

At least a 9. I think he played fantastic and was one of the best on the pitch. He got into dangerous positions and was a nightmare for thier defence. It's possible to play well without scoring you know.

Dunk wasn't at fault for the goal and cleared off the line so chances are we may have lost if Uwe played rather than won.

Dunk's performance throughout the game was first class he made it look so effortless his positioning, awareness and anticipation meant he never lunged in and his passing and distribution was good from the back.

The ball was his to win and he was a mile off the scorer. Was a sloppy goal to give away in a defence that has been solid so far this season. Would much rather see Uwe partner Greer.

If Dunk had played at Bolton we'd probably be 2 points better off. No chance he'd have got bullied by Madine for the late equaliser.

The first 20 minutes aside, I had March down as MOTM as he was the only one who looked like creating something in the 2nd half. Best I've seen him play for sure.

Stephens, Rosenior, Dunk, Bruno all had good games too.
