On way back to the Midlands on train. My ratings are based on my view of the players performances, it doesn't matter who we play whether that be Arsenal away or Accrington Stanley away.
Ryan - 9 - our MOTM, several decent saves, SSE says - 7 - Couldn't do much with the goals, but certainly not MoM.
Bruno - 6 - few misplaced passes and gave away possession a fair bit today, SSE says - 5 - Really made little impression, not his best.
Dunk - 7 - first half a 6, second half an 8. Some great cross field passes and final clearances but seems to make at least one mistake a game so far. SSE says - 8.5 - Another superb game
Duffy - 6 - not as good today as in recent games SSE says - 8.5 Every bit the equal of Dunk today - this partnership could keep us up
Bong - 5 - not sure why he played, seemed out of position a lot and also gave the ball away cheaply far too many times. Was Suttner injured? SSE says - 7 - Did little wrong, presumably CH wanted someone pacier than Suttner which worked.
March - 8 - brilliant performance, awesome free-kick. Looks to have developed loads over the summer. SSE says - 8 - Agreed
Propper - 7 - maybe should have scored at the end, better of the two central midfielders today. Not afraid to get stuck in SSE says - 7 - Agreed again
Stephens - 5 - really poor today, probably his worst performance of the season so far SSE says - 9 - Probably his best performance so far this season and adjusting to the pace nicely,
Izquierdo - 6 - a few runs made in the first half and one chance where I think he should have passed instead of shot. Did nothing second half SSE says - 4 - off the pace of the game and gave away the crucial free kick from which they scored the first goal.
Gross - 6 - seemed to bottle it a bit today, not making the same sort of passes or contribution he has in the last few games, SSE says - 6 - seemed flattened by feelings of injustice about the first goal and inhibited by the consequent yellow card.
Brown - 5 - maybe harsh but not a striker but he had no service SSE says - 5 - Can't disagree with that
Schellotto - no idea why he came on really SSE says - I thought he looked lively, promising and shored up his side of midfield. Really got involved up and down the pitch.
Knockaert - looked lively and up for it when he came on, hopefully this is more of the AK we see going forwards - SSE says - sorry, I disagree. Clearly out of sorts and added little of note, beyond his usual 100% effort.
Murray - thought he scored, we looked a lot better after he and AK both came on to the field.SSE says - Yeah, the pub thought he scored too. Muzza looked hungry and sharp.
