Jones was very poor today - not sure why Jarret didn't come on as he would have been loads better.

Kuipers 8 - Great saves as we expect and only 1 duff kick
Hinshlewood 6 - Not at his best, made some good tackles though and is difficult to beat.
Harding 6 - Seemed to fade, didnt have much support from Jones though.
Cullip 7 - Made a few mistakes, but made some telling headers and tackles too, the ref was totally mugged by no 10 who got Cullip booked.
Butters 6 - Steady nothing spectular
Jones 4 - Well out of sorts, no runs with the ball and didnt seem to get back and support Harding.
Nicolas 8 - His vision is great, he seemed to fool there midfield everytime to create space to get the pass away.
Hammond 7 - Very impressive, may have given the ball away a few times but did make some very good tackles and certainly worth keeping beyond Oct on this performance
Currie 8 - Okay he has no pace but he is the best crosser of the ball in the team, once he and Knight strike up some understanding we should see these crosses leading to a few goals.
Virgo 9 - Caused their defence all sort of problems, chased everything, ran the ball down and certainly didnt look like a defender playing upfront.
Knight 7 - Made some good runs and is slowly getting back into it, needs some time to get an understanding with Currie.

Mayo 6 - Got stuck in, didnt do too much wrong.

FIVE (count 'em) notable performances from this jaded supporter's point of view:

Virgo - man of the match 'nuff said
Currie looked quality (but painfully slow for a winger)
Nicolas, very tidy for most of the game, A CREATIVE MIDFIELDER!! - I remember them
Overall Hinshelwood had a good game
Kuipers looked solid

Srappy, stop start game and the referee is most certainly a snake spurter

top swearing from Cullip when the wall was being set up for one of their late free-kicks: "GET TIGHT YOU C***S" - heard from over 50 yards away!

Kuipers-8 Great saves and came out well for crosses.
Harding-6 a couple of excellent passes but still not up to last years standards.
Butters-7 Thought he looked pretty steady
Cullip-8 excellent throughout
Hinshlewood-7 did pretty well
Jones-5 Poor
Hammond-7Thought he looked good at Watford two years ago,and i thought the same today.
Nicolas-8 Getting better with every game
Currie-8 ditto
Knight-6 Still slightly off the pace
Virgo-9 Fantastic effort in both attack and defence

My man of the match was definently Kuipers if it wasn't for 2 or 3 especially one magnificient saves we wouldn't of come out with the thre points. Also hinshelwood made a fantastic tackle to stop a definent goal. Jones gets slated too much he drifted out of it in the second half but so did Currie. In the first half Jones was trying so hard to make an impression he was running all over the place, but the criticism would be he got caught out of position because of it, but all in all he wasn't that bad.

Butters and Cullip looked a little better today especially Cullip but Butters still worries me. Nicolas and Hammond looked terrific in the middle alot steardier than Hinshelwood in the middle, and Hinsh looked happier at right back and had a better influence on the game. Virgo upfront worked well and i think him and Knight could do a decnt job upfront. I would like to see Jake and Leon with Virgo cause with two pacey strikers next to him his flick ons could cause even more trouble.

All in All a good days work and a well earned three points. Walkers stadium here we go.

Kuipers 7 Brilliant saves but he doesn't command the defence
Hinshelwood 5 Not tight enough on the winger
Butters 7 Our most consistent defender, doesn't make mistakes
Cullip 6 Still not back to his best, doesn't communicate well with Kuipers
Harding 5 Confidence still a bit low
Nicolas 6 Better distribution but still defensively lightweight
Hammond 6 Tidy and hardworking
Currie 8 Our dead-ball genius, our MOTM by a long way
Jones 5 One of those days for Jonah, but defended well
Virgo 7 Coped promisingly with his new duties
Knight 7 Not quite at his best today but still miles better than most
