a galaxy far far away
Sanchez - 6 - Solid in his work. Wisely stayed on his line for a late outswinging corner

Veltman - 7 - Lovely pass infield started the move for our winner.
White - 7 - Untroubled. Calm passing
Dunk - 8 - Magnificent header, huge leadership. Got a few unfair comments for the goal. All he could do was try to get something on it
Burn - 6 - Played well. Lovely break for the Gross chance

Gross - 5 - Started brightly, but petered out after his very poor miss.
Bissouma - 6 - Concerning that he remains below his best. Still rather him in my team then up against us.
Lallana - 8 - Knew exactly how much time and space he had today. His fitness is improving.
Trossard - 6 - Brilliant finish for the winner. Anonymous in the first half, came alive in the more central position.

Wellbeck - 7 - Loads better. Wonderful touch for the winner. Was originally marking Adams for their goal but wandered away from him at the crucial moment
Maupay - 5 - Looks slow and leggy at the moment. Didn't hold it when we needed him to

Zeqiri - 7 - Looks a player to me. Cracking shot. Needs to gain the confidence to take on a full back if playing out wide

Pretty much as I saw it with possibly Burn a 5 as got caught out a couple of times too far forward (but probably as instructed by Potter).

Sanchez - 7 - A welcome, comfortable performance after the Leicester match. Good save from Adams near the end, although it wouldn’t have counted

Veltman - 7 - Super calm and solid as ever. Possibly should have done better for their goal
White - 7 - Good alongside Dunky
Dunk - 8 - MOTM - where would be without this man. A leader, goal scorer and he’ll put his body on the line when needed. Unlucky for the goal, couldn’t get enough on it
Burn - 5 - Had a great run to set up the Maupay chance but often caught too high up the field, leaving us exposed. Lost out in a headed duel in the box to a plates good 8-10 inches shorter than him. Not his day.

Gross - 7 - brilliant corner for the goal, showed his versatility when dropping in at wing back. So underrated. Just a shame that his first touch let him down for that chance
Bissouma - 6 - Playing like he’s already on his way
Lallana - 8 - Big game for him today and he delivered
Trossard - 7 - he’s a one in three player and today was game where he really turned up, especially once he went more central

Wellbeck - 7 - his experience and sheer presence up top alongside Maupay makes a difference. Lovely touch for the goal
Maupay - 7 - worked so hard again. Looks knackered but always gives everything

Zeqiri - 7 - But can he play left back? Surprisingly, yes. Yes he can.

Sanchez - 6.5 A decent performance but rarely troubled
Veltman - 7 - Another quality performance
White - 7 - Quietly excellent today
Dunk - 7.5 - Great goal, solid at the back.
Burn - 5.5 - Probably would have marked higher if Gross had slammed in his opportunity. Remains our weakest link.
Gross - 6 - Strengths and weaknesses today. Was actually awful for the 5 minutes after he missed his chance, but recovered well in th esecond half
Bissouma - 6 - Playing like he’s already on his way
Lallana - 8 - MOM - superb. If he stays fit and continues to play like that, we will stay up comfortably. Leader.
Trossard - 6.5 - First half was poor, second half so much better. Great strike for his goal.
Wellbeck - 7 - Class today. HAs been anonymous too often, but he was quality today,
Maupay - 6 - works hard, but is offering less and less as a goal threat.

Zeqiri - 7 - Looked superb today.
Propper N/A

Sanchez 7 - not too much to do but did all he should

Veltman 7 - solid
White 7 - see Veltman
Dunk 8 - see Veltman + White, but with a goal to his name
Burn 7 - see Veltman, White and Dunk.

Gross 7 - a few poor crosses but generally a good performance and did quite alright at RWB as well despite looking a bit uncertain at times
Bissouma 7 - couple of sloppy passes in first half but generally always in the right position and very difficult to get past
Lallana 8 - drew a lot of attention meaning more space for others. Class.
Trossard 8 - first half is a six, second eight, but the goal pushes it above the 7.

Welbeck 7 - nice assist, had quite a few sloppy touches but was a lot more involved today than usual. Keep it up.
Maupay 7 - endless hard work and as usual the main reason opponents dont have the time to build any real attacks. Massively important. Nice shot that led to the corner resulting in the first goal.

Zeqiri 7 - a bit unpolished but creative and hard working, fantastic to go from playing striker in the Swiss div 2 to LWB in the Premier League
Pröpper 7 - did Pröpper stuff

Sanchez 7
Veltman 6 -- some great play, but he should have shown more strength for their goal
White 8 -- unflustered, so strong defensively, he's been something else for months now
Dunk 8 -- great header, superb leadership, calm on the ball, not at fault for their goal
Burn 6 -- some decent stuff, but also gave the ball away in our half
Gross 5 -- another assist, but had a really poor first half, especially the last 10 minutes of it -- why didn't he lift that opportunity?
Bissouma 5.5 -- like Gross, improved in the second half, but his drop in form is noticeable
Lallana 9 MotM -- brilliant performance, so calm and creative on the ball, really intense in the press, and carried the entire midfield in the first half
Trossard 7 -- also improved in the second half, and showed some real creativity and, unlike too many of our finishes this season, he lifted the ball but, helpfully, managed to keep it below the Trossbar
Welbeck 7 -- some great first time touches -- one for Maupay, another for Burn in the build up for the Gross miss, and also for our second -- and great running and harrying
Maupay 7 -- put a real shift in, and was a menace for them, along with some good hold- and link-up play

Subs:
Zeqiri 7 -- I like this guy, encouraging that he shoots when he can. Played the LWB role well.
Propper and Moder -- n/a

Some harsh ratings for Maupay I think. He worked his socks off today

On the other hand, I think that Biss is generally being marked too high - thought he strolled through the game today. He's not the player he was a couple of months ago.

Can't be bothered to mark every player but Lallana clear MotM for me; big thumbs up for Swiss Andi though

Sanchez: 7 - A great take at a corner and a few good saves. Good that he’s bounced straight back after his Leicester howler.

Veltman: 7 - I thought he was generally good, outgunned for the Saints goal but prevented a shot and was let down by his teammate’s awful positioning

White: 7 - Pretty good defensively but once again, not as good going forward as Webster who would normally play that position.

Dunk: 6 - Amazing goal but Saints equaliser was almost all his fault. Ball watching whilst the rest of the back line played Adams offside, he played him on and then gave him an assist. Because he’s one of our own, most posters ignore his mistakes where as poor Dan Burn.......

Burn: 6 - Couple of mistakes in the first half but wing back is not his strongest position. So unlucky his amazing work was not rewarded by Groß with a goal.

Gross: 6 - Blowed hot and cold, did ok but not one of his best games. His miss was almost unforgivable, we’re lucky we came home with the points. Where on earth has his finishing from his debut season with us gone?

Bissouma: 6 - An average display, no real attacking force but prevented Saints from dominating the midfield.

Lallana: 8 - MotM - Brings brains, experience and much needed vocal leadership to the pitch. His clever passing and positional play stretched Saints constantly.

Trossard: 7 - 5 in the first half, 9 in the second so he gets the average. That finish should give him the confidence to get a few more this season.

Welbeck: 7 - Pretty average really, looked very tired after 70mins. Gets the points with a sublime assist for Tross.

Maupay: 7 - He kept running and running and running allowing the likes of Groß & Tross acres of room when they made runs into the box. Great effort.

Subs:
Zeqiri: 7 - I think there is something very special about this lad. One for next season but he is showing signs of being a great signing. Hopefully people will stick with him as he progresses. If he does what Connolly did against Spurs, expectations will rocket way to high but the odd goal here abs there will be very welcome.

Sanchez 7 - Came out to sweep up a through ball that went straight through our defence, claimed some corners and an excellent save near the end.

Veltman 7 - Good all round game.
White 8 - Solid
Dunk 8 - excellent goal. Maybe could have played Adam’s offside for their goal but ball should have dealt with before that for me
Burn 6 - Sloppy at times, gave the ball away a fair bit but made an excellent run to set up Groß, who should have buried it.

Gross 6 - Thought he was really poor first half. Didn’t retain possession well. Some poor crosses and he should have scored with his 1:1. Didn’t do much wrong at RWB.
Bissouma 6 - Seems to have gone off the boil a bit recently. Did enough to keep us ticking over though.
Lallana 8 - Excellent. MotM
Trossard 6 - Thought he was pretty poor tbh. I’d give him a 5 but his finish was decent.

Welbeck 7 - Some good link up play and his one touch assist was excellent
Maupay 5 - Looks tired. Can’t fault his running but he needs a rest IMO.

Zeqiri 7 - Positive, if enforced, change and did well in an unfamiliar role. He’s positive and got us up the pitch.
Propper 5 - I didn’t particularly notice him

Sanchez - 7 - Solid competent performance.

Veltman - 7 - Outjumped for the goal but solid otherwise.
White - 7 - Very good game and dealt with any threat well.
Dunk - 8 - Great goal, little unlucky on the equalizer but captains performance.
Burn - 5 - No lack of effort but struggles at this level as a full back just not mobile enough.

Gross - 6 Good in parts with the ball and kept it well but Jigsaw
Bissouma - 6 - Not his best looked a bit leggy.
Lallana - 8 - Excellent did a great job at both ends of the pitch.
Trossard - 7 - Looked better as a No.10 than as a forward took his goal well and buzzed around. Still needs to make better decisions when in good areas.

Wellbeck - 9 - Thought he was excellent today led the line created chances and looked a threat.
Maupay - 7 - Ran his legs off, maybe trying too hard at times. Looked out on his feet last 10 mins.

Zeqiri - 7 - Did really well and definitely added something.
Propper - 6 - Steadied things and worked hard

Lancing
Sanchez 6 - solid

Veltman - 6 - started game with a string of errors but with his experiance was able to put them behind him to get stronger as the game progressed
Dunk - 7 Great goal with his head shame he then was unable to get a better head on the one that fell for the equilizer
White - 6 very steady game
Burn - 6 played well first half came off injured or was it tactical

Gross - 6 - if he had not slipped as he took the shot everyone would be singing his praises, which they should as aperture from that one slip he played well.
Bissouma - 6 he was ok but not a patch on what he can be, makes me wonder if he is being tapped by other clubs
Lallana - 8 best game in an Albion shirt MOM

Trossard - 6 - looks lightweight goes down to easy runs into dead ends I am all for subbing him then he teams up with Wellbeck and scores the winner
Maupay - 6 - Tireless work rate very underrated on here
Welbeck - 7.5 as lallana best game in a Brighton shirt

Zeqiri - 7 looked a natural left back !!! a revelation need to see more we might if Burn has pulled his hamstring
Molder not on long enough to score
Propper - 5- struggled to pick up the pace of the game having said that his presence steadied the ship

Potter - 8 master stroke substitution and formation second half

This.

Except for me:
Lallana 9 - ran the game, at the heart of all our positive play, Stains couldn’t handle his speed of thought.
Bissouma 7 - mopped up their dangerous counters over and over again.

Potter 10 - A brave formation with 2 upfront and taking off a defender going for a win, subs at the right times, on Saintsweb they’re bemoaning the cutting off of their main threat down their left.
