Can't see any - here goes:

Casper 7 - did what he had to do well although not severely troubled. Nothing he could do about the goal.
Calderon 7 - not so good going forward but great passing and movement at times.
Elphick 7 - solid but gave the ball away a couple of times.
El Abd 9 MOM - colossal. I can't remember him having a better game. Outmuscled their huge striker who was about twice his size.
Painter 6 - struggled first half, brilliant last half hour.
Bridcutt 6 - some nice passes but not really in it first half when they were better in midfield.
Dicker 6 - not one of his better games but worked hard.
Bennett 7 - did well in a more free role.
Lua Lua 7 - did incredibly well in last 20 minutes. Marked out of it until then.
Barnes 7 - missed a couple, brilliant leap for goal and worked his socks off.
Murray 6 - quieter game for him. Some nice passes and defensive headers.

Subs

Kishishev for Bridcutt 8 - class. Changed game when he came on.
Sandanzer 7 - great late winner, different to Murray, looks a poacher.

Gus 10 - great substitutions - spot on again! :clap2:

I would agree with most of that. apart from murray a 7 and sandaza surely deserves a 1324985430 for that goal

Casper - 7 - could not do anything for the goal, few good stops.
Calderon - 8 - Best home performance from him today.
Elphick - 7 - solid, but mistake at the end.
El Abd - 7 - solid enough
Painter - 6 - not his best
Bridcutt - 6 - stuggled against the big lumps.
Dicker - 6 - few nice touches, but quite
Bennett 7 - seen better, but good
Lua Lua - 8 - unlucky not to score
Barnes - 8.5 - MOM - great game, always getting into scoring positions, good goal, hit the post and forced a few good saves, and to think he is only 20!
Murray - 5 - not in the game today

Subs

Kish - 7 - We looked better once he came on
Sandaza - 7 - Some very nice touches, and scored a very important goal!

Overall we were a 7 today El-Abd (Al-Hab to some) was immense and Barnes was a constant thorn in Oldham's side.

I was genuinely delighted with 95% 0f today.

Oh, and the ref? 3/10 (being generous)

Casp - 7: Nothing to report
Calderon - 6: gets beaten VERY easily! I love the guy, but he always seems to get skinned when the player cuts in. Lua Lua would terrorise him.
Elphick - 6: Nearly f***ed us RIGHT over at the end, but good otherwise.
El Abd - 7.5: Brilliant game.
Painter - 7: Didn't notice him much, so must have been good.
Bennett - 7: Good crossing today.
Bridcutt - 6: Showed his lack of pro football today, but OK.
Dicker - 5: Worst player on the pitch today. Very sloppy and extremely complacent when giving the ball away cheaply, leading to their goal.
Lua Lua - 8: The guy is a complete and utter threat. Always.
Murray - 6: Wasn't in the game today. But a 6 for it being his birthday.
Barnes - 7: Would have been more but come on, he needs to start putting a higher percentage of his chances away. Young, though, so looks promising.

Kish - 6: Fine.
Sandaza - one billion: :goal:

Ankgergren- Solid throughout and couldn't do anything about the goal. 7
Calderon- Solid and was a threat going forward. 7
Elphick- Few dodgey moment but generally sound. 6.5
El Abd- Class. Dealt with thier striker superbly. 8.5
Painter- Standard game for him. 7

Bennett- Good set pieces and always a threat. 7.5
Bridcutt- Did a good job but would rather have Kish. 6.5
Dicker- Didn't think he played very well but a few moments of quality. 6.5
Lua Lua- Class. To good for this league. 9

Murray- Not at his best but still played well. 6.5
Barnes- Yes he should have scored about 5 but never let his head drop and worked very hard. 8.5

Kishishev- Wouldn't go as far as saying he changed the game but thought we played alot better after he came on. 7
Sandaza- Have to be honest didn't think he was great until he scored but he still gets a 7.

Casper 7 - Did OK. Couldn't stop the goal. One great save. Still not convinced about him coming for crosses.
Calderon 7 - misses having Bennett out wide I think. Solid. Competent. Love him.
Elphick 8 - really did well. Heading away, covering. Great game. Snuffed out their considerable height threat at corners.
El Abd 8 - very good game against a beast. Can't remember clapping and cheering Adam so often. Greer is going to have to be imense to get him out.
Painter 6 - often seems to take a few minutes to get into the game, but did his job.
Bridcutt 5 - lost possession and gave the ball away. Knocked off the ball too easily. Not the opposition for his game I suspect. Would have had him off at half time.
Dicker 6 - struggled with the physicality and was bundled off the ball too easily at times. Some lovely passes though (I think he set up Barnes for the one-on-one).
Bennett 7 - good player. Handled the physical stuff pretty well. Like him in hte free ranging role, but still think he would have been more effective against these beasts out wide. Some stunning speed and crosses.
Lua Lua 7 - Kept under wraps until they tired (Gus said as much on the radio). Then he kept them tied up and under pressure. He's the reason we got the last gasp goal.
Barnes 8 MOM - missed a one-on-one and had the cance to get five but a great goal, hit the bar, set up play all over the place and played people in. His best performance for the Albion by miles and I'm delighted to see people scoring him highly and not just moaning about the "misses".
Murray 6 - quiet day at the office, but wins far more in the air than he has a right to. Kicked all over the park and pulled off to give him time to recover for Tuesday I would think.

Subs

Kishishev for Bridcutt 8 - made a difference when he came on. Great off the bench.
Sandanzer 7 - poachers goal - 19 more to shut the "20 goal striker" brigade up. Great radio interview.

Gus and Tarrico - love em both.

7 goals in 11 suggest's he is scoring enough, our top scorer this season. Today, the keeper made two very good saves to deny him, very unlucky hitting the post, and took his goal well

Think some are being slightly harsh on Murray tonight. Think he did unbelievably well in the air against two giants, and some of his defending from corners etc was first rate. Sure, he didnt get in and around the box much but Barnes was so he didnt need to as much.

Ankergren - 7 - cracking save late on
Calderon - 8 - best game i've seen him have this season, much improved
Elphick - 6 - some shakey moments, fine otherwise
El-abd - 6 - ditto Elphick
Painter - 6 - never really recovered from the knock in the first half
Bennett - 7 - improved as the game went on, some erratic crossing though
Dicker - 6 - some good passing but needed to "put himself about" more to stop their players running through on the counter
Bridcutt - 6 - same as Dicker really - Kishishev was needed at half time to stop the gaping hole in the centre circle
LuaLua - 7 - some dreadful shooting but he caused most of our second half pressure
Murray - 6 - took a right kicking, won SO much in the air though but didnt have a lot of luck being so tightly marked
Barnes - 7 - great header for the goal, shame about the other 4 he fluffed but the new bloke has bailed him out!

Kishishev - 8 - turned the game on its head, simply by holding posession

Superphil - 0 - mong

Get in!

Spun Cuppa

Thanks Greens :(
Glad to see Murray trying to win headers and mostly succeeding, rather than doing his, 'Oh look at me ref, I've been fouled...' and falling over routine. Looked the part today feeding off scraps and doing his bit for the team. 9/10

Oh, and the ref? 3/10 (being generous)

i dont like moaning about refs - but this chap today was very poor. a couple of very dubious decisions. im just glad we got the result! first game at the withdean for me this season, forgot about the microclimate... was getting pretty chilly until sandaza smashed in that winner.

Ankergren - 6 (did what he had too, handling still abit sketchy)
Calderon - 7
Elphick - 7
El-Abd - 8
Painter - 7 (head injury seemed to affect him a bit first half)
Bennett - 7
Bridcutt - 6
Dicker - 6 (didnt have his best game)
Lua Lua - 7 (good pace, cut inside well)
Murray - 6
Barnes - 8 (not sure why he gets stick on here - great performance, unfortunate to be booked by the hapless ref)

Subs -
Kish -7
Sandaza - 1000 (looks like he likes to play on the shoulder of the defence, and a poacher... do we have a lower league inzaghi?)

Gus - 10 (spot on as per. and classic ranting after the scuffle involving barnes)

I count a 'miss' as a shot that misses the target, not a shot that is saved by the keeper. On that basis, Barnes didn't 'miss' at all during the game.

Aha - 6 yards out placing the ball straight at the keeper is a good effort is it?

This makes me feel a lot better about my finishing...

so you could be a YARD out, with the whole thing to aim for and nobody around, and kick it straight at the keeper who is covering maybe 10% of the whole goal and that would not be a miss?!
