Ryan - 7 - very little to do bar a great save from Pogba
Montoya - 7 - accomplished debut. Looks very comfortable on the ball
Bong - 7 - only criticism would be his delivery when got in on the overlap
Duffy - 9 - immense
Dunk - 6 - hopefully a minor injury
Propper - 8 - bossed the midfield with...
Stephens - 8 - see above
March - 9 - MOTM - everywhere and an assist.
AK - 7 - great first half, looked knackered second
Gross - 8 - won a pen, scored a pen
Murray - 8 - wonderful finish, made the United centre halves look very average

Balogun - 8 - what a signing

I think Gross was a 4/5 in the first half, and AK was at least an 8 but that looks about right.

Pretty much agree.
March was one of the worst players vs Watford so was so nice to see him back to his best today.
Thought Duffy and Balogun were both immense.

Same but I’d have Murray and Stephens both higher at a 9.

Ryan 8 -- one brilliant save that turned out to be a matchwinning one
Montoya 7 -- great debut
Duffy 8.5 -- immense
Dunk 6/n/a
Bong 7
Knockaert 8
Stephens 8
Propper 9 MotM -- so calm on the ball, tackled EVERYTHING
March 8.5 -- great to see you back, Solly
Gross 8
Murray 8 -- top finish

Balogun 8 -- debut delight

Loved the way we pressed them high up the pitch. If we continue to do that successfully, it's going to be one hell of a season.

Was this really really really almost the same team that played in that shambles at Watford??? What a change around. Relegating Bernado to the bench did probably add confidence to the other defenders, but the improved performances of March and Duffy in particular was nothing short of amazing.

Ryan 7. Not a lot to do. One great second half save.
Montoya 7. Slotted in effortlessly.
Dunk 6. Played OK until injury which was self inflicted when trying to recover from a very poor piece of ball control that could have very easily lead to a goal.
Duffy 8. Great game. One of his best.
Bong 7. A good game. Much much better than Bernardo.
Stephens 8. Excellent.
Propper 8. Also excellent. One of his best games for us.
Knockaert 7. Some great stuff, but also some not-so-great. Mostly a very good game.
March 8. How can he have turned his performance round so successfully from last week's embarrassment? Well done Solly, but please no more Watford-type performances.
Gross 7. Maybe a bit lucky with the penalty, but a good game overall.
Murray 8. Great goal, full of running, some excellent headed flick-ons.

Subs: 8. Like Montoya, slotted in effortlessly. A real find.

Ryan 7- couldn't do much about the goals, made a great stop the one time he was called upon.

Montoya 8- Fantastic debut. Really composed and good on the ball.

Duffy 8- Did very well against two of the biggest ******** in the league. Nicely taken goal too.

Balogun 8- Very good performance, again, bossed Lukaku and Fellaini for most of the game. Was caught out for the first unfortunately but did very well when he had time to settle.

Bong 8- Looked strong and eager as always. Couple of momentary lapses but a really good performance. Bernardo is going to have to work hard to get the shirt back.

Knockaert 8- Wasn't afraid to drive forward, he scared the shit out of Luke Shaw at times. A couple of ponderous moments in possession but did his defensive duties well. He is a different beast when playing at home.

Pröpper & Stephens 8- Both went about their business superbly with minimal fuss, as they did in the majority of our home games last season- they just work so well together.

March 8.5- So happy for him after that performance. Great assist for Murray and some of his defensive work was top notch. Best showing for absolutely ages, let's hope it continues.

Groß 7- Seemed a bit off the pace at times, but still caused them some problems. Did a lot of running/donkey work as always.

Murray 8- Lindelof and Bailly will be having nightmares about him tonight. Bullied their defence all game and produced a top-drawer finish. His booking was a joke.

I'd pretty much completely go along with those, although I'd give Stephens a 9 too. Knocky was brilliant at times but drifted in and out of the game, defence solid and unfortunate with both Utd goals imo.

These threads are always so strange and reflect the difference in how different people assess the game(s).

Ryan 6 Not impressed by their first goal, good save from Pogba but had nothing else to do.
Montoya 7 Composed and comfortable, going forward didn't add much, or need to.
Duffy 8 Imperious and a lovely finish.
Dunk n/a Hopefully he's not too badly hurt.
Bong 6 Got forward and I was pleased he made contact with the ball to send it toward the area. Obviously, no quality in the delivery.
Knockaert 7 Didn't create much but did the defensive job as well as anyone else, good show.
Stephens 8 Never intimidated by the names in opposition to him and sets the standard. Lost the ball casually a few times though.
Pröpper 8 So classy, massively underused in my opinion, his attacking influence is almost nil because of his ultra-defensive role.
March 6 Great defensively, put in so many challenges and worked hard but going forward? Works hard and it suited our team today, and it's a team game.
Gross 6 Linked play well, but we didn't do much going forward generally so it's tough to score him.
Murray 8 Top class, HE is the reason we got promoted and have survived. A class above our other strikers.

Subs
Balogun 8 Comfortable in this company and in my opinion, he's good enough to really trouble Duffy and Dunk.

The others didn't have enough time to matter but it was a nice touch to get the announcer to let everyone know we have a new number 9!

Ryan 7.5, fabulous save and some good claims
Bong 7.5, very good defensively with the usual few duff passes
Duffy 9, absolutely immense throughout, MOM for me but close run thing. Even got a goal.
Dunk 6.5, solid enough
Montoya 7.5, really encouraging first game
Stephens 8.5, superb
Propper 9, even superber
Knockaert 8.5, lively, some great runs, right pain in the arse for them
March 8.5, contrast with last week is bordering on bizarre. Was fantastic defensively
Gross 7.5, not at his best but still an influence
Murray 8.5, at his annoying, irritating best, and a superb finish for the first

Balogun 8.5, wow, what a debut. Coming on for Dunk, that early in a game against Man U and he delivers that kind of perfomance. Awesome.

Hughton 9 - don’t know what he did to get a reaction like that after last week’s debacle with only one non-enforced change, but the guy is a genius.
