It seems like all the criticism of CMS is coming from people who weren't even at the game. From what I've heard he played well today and I think once he gets a couple of goals (hopefully against Cardiff and Barnsley), he'll start banging them in.
This
I'm always here to whinge about tactics and certain players, but CMS will come good if he gets regular service:)

CMS had a very good game today. Looked like a pen to me first minute and caused them problems all game. Should have scored when he hit the bar but if he carries on like this it will only be a matter of time before he starts banging them in.

if you weren't at the game don't bother commenting. Leave that to the real supporters.

So any Albion fan not at the game is not a real supporter ?
What a shitty statement , some of us have work commitments and mouths to feed etc , etc .
Some Albion fans ended up stuck on a train that got severely delayed and eventually cancelled , you sir are a first classed dick !

I'm talking about the ones on here commenting on a game they were not at.

To be fair the post was aimed at the dickheads making all the negative comments elsewhere on NSC tonight. Were you on a Hull Trains service ? They've been having ongoing problems with their rolling stock for the last three to four months.

Well said. Some of the comments on here baffle me. Not at the game = don't talk like you were. No shame in not going to Hull, but certainly shouldn't be trying to talk with such authority and finality.

I thought CMS had one of his best games for us inspite of not scoring. He was denied a penalty in the 1st minute when the Ref bottled the decision. After that CMS caused Hull all sorts of problems, his touch was good and although he missed a couple of half chances he also forced some decent saves from their keeper. The keepers save of his point blank header after a brilliant Albion move was the highlight. If that had gone in the flood gates should have opened but alas.....

For all the positives from CMS's performance I thought that Barnes was pretty anonymous apart from two chances that the keeper dealt with easily.

Barnes also cleared off the line when Tomas completely missed a cross and Hull nearly scored.

Indeed. Good man for that.

Pity Ashley couldn't get into their box and make his presence felt more often. I think he actually had our best chance following that Chip from Dicker but snatched at his shot.

Indeed, he had more time than he realised and tried to volley it instead of taking his time.

"Just wouldn't go for him". What tosh. Game after game, it is entirely up to him to tuck it away, he can't, and he hasn't the class at Championship level to do it. Nowt to do with luck.

I firmly believe it is more down to confidence than anything else... For CMS (and to a certain extent Noone) they played very well and were high on confidence up to the Palace game - people seem to forget that, then it all went downhill for CMS and Noone in a big way, the confidence drained from them completely that night and hasn't really returned.

A fully fit and confident CMS will score 20 goals a season at this level, I have no doubt. No one can be criticising him after his performance today (which certainly wasn't headless chicken, made intelligent runs, and created some of his own chances) - a confident CMS would have had a hat-trick and wouldn't have snatched at the chances.

It was also good to see CMS battle for the ball from the Hull defenders winning back possession and having another shot at goal. KLL terrified them and two of them couldn't stop him getting his crosses in. Noone should never have been booked and Hull were trying hard to get him a 2nd yellow which is why Gus subbed him off as quickly as possible.

Kuszczak 8 a couple of good saves altho a couple of kicks went out
Bruno 8 had a good game
El Abd 6 did tend to use the right side when distributing in the first half when Bridge was in acres of space but better 2nd half
Greer 6 solid but a couple of wayward passes
Bridge 7 got down the line, defended well especially one sublime pass when cornered by 2 Hull players, got free and sent it straight down the line
Crofts 6 should have done better with a shot that he had, but maybe not match fit ie sharpness
Bridcutt 7 the useful stuff from him that we expect
Barnes 6 should have put his shots away and he knows it
Noone 7 was targeted by Hull including a nasty foul ignored by the ref but spotted by the linesman. His final ball was much better today
CMS 8 worked hard, tackled, positioning was great and it just didn't happen for him today but it will

LuaLua 8 terrified the Hull defence and made things happen

Kuszczak 6 - missed a corner, punched when should have caught, at fault for the goal
Bruno 8 - good in defence, played unexpected passes in attack
Greer 6 - distribution not as good as usual
El Abd 7 - reliable and strong
Bridge 8 - rusty in first half, very good in the second
Bridcutt 8 - MOM
Dicker 7 - some lovely passes and awareness, if only he was quicker
Crofs 7 - supported attack and almost scored with cracker in first half
Barnes 6 - often the weak link with poor control and weak finishing, but kept trying and some vital work in defence
CMS 8 - surprisingly good performance after injury absence, should have scored with header, but showed plenty of skill and speed
Noone 7 - less wasteful than Swindon game, sharp and involved in many moves
Lua Lua 8 - outstanding when he replaced Noone, beat full back every time and supplied several good crosses
Toby - not on long enough to contribute

All in all a very good performance. If we play like this all season we will do well.

Koosh - 7 - Handling good, punched at one stage when possibly could have held it, can't be blamed for goal.
.

Wasn't at the game so can't comment on individual ratings but just saw the highlights and looks as if Thomas was at fault for goal. Poor composure and decision making to come out and if he was not 100% sure he was going to make it, he should have stayed on his line.

Surprised people are giving kojack such high marks. He made some.good saves but his distribution was szhoczking (sic.)
