Bruno needs to sharpen up his passing, he has been poor lately and got mugged of the ball in dangerous areas a couple of times last night. Kuszczak, El-Abd and Ulloa were superb.

By the seaside in West Somerset
Kuszczak 10 - Inspired
Bruno 6 - Gave the ball away a lot
Upson 8 - Totally in control
El-Abd 7.5 - Slightly shaky 1st half but immense second
Bridge 8 - Superb
Bridcutt 8 -Superb as usual
Hammond 7 - Solid is unspectacular, gets the job done
Buckley 8 - Tireless
Orlandi 7.5 - Great finish
Lopez 8 - Two great assists
Ulloa 8 - Worked very hard, earned a goal

Subs:
Dicker 7.5 - Kept things ticking over nicely
Calderon 7 - Adapted to the DM role nicely
JFC N/A

Team 10 - For me, this wasn't a game of individual brillance (although Kuszczak was a glaring exception). This was a massive team performance where everyone contributed to the win and, yes, we were lucky at times but it was a monstrous result when most were expecting at most a point. Still a very happy seagull this morning

spot on!
great team performance.

Add Upson to those lucky/inspired additions who we didnt intend to sign but came out smelling of roses.
Loved Ulloa's performance......... a real prescence both ends of the pitch
Words fail me describing Tomasz's performance

Lost my voice....bit worried about defensive midfield for Saturday but guessing Dicker will step up.
Basking in the glory and loving that we did to Cardiff what so many sides have done to us this season.

Word for their stewards......brilliant as were their understandably hacked-off but very gracious fans after the game

With Bridcutt suspended and Hammond likely to be out, who is going to play this role? Dicker or will JFC get his chance?
Calde?

I know I'm blinkered, but Calde should be getting more love in the scores.

He came on for Hammond, out played him by virtue of the fact he knew which way to go with the ball.

So our reserve left back can play defensively minded attacking midfield, and make the move to set up our second guaranteeing the points.

Kuszczak 9 - some fantastic saves particularly the one in the first half when Hammond accidentally put Bellamy(?) through.
Bruno 8 for defending, 5 for distribution. Worst game I have seen by him for the Albion. Class player though so probably a one off
El-Abd 8 - Solid, strong and quick.
Upson 8 - very solid. Gives us a better balance as a natural left footer.
Bridge 8.5 - very good all round performance. Class act.
Bridcutt 8 - as per usual. Don't think I have seen as consistent performer for BHAFC since Lawrenson.
David 8.5 - technically very gifted and worked hard all over the pitch. Quality assist. Very underrated game changer for Albion.
Hammond 7.5 - worked hard, nearly responsible for a massive faux pas but for Koosh.
Orlandi 8 - great finish, class act.
Buckley 7 - form could be returning. Best game for a while
Ulloa 8 - worked his socks off. Great hold up play at times. Took his goal well.

Edit: should add subs -

Dicker 7.5 - good - defended well and always shows vision. Worth a start.
Calderon 7 - did his job well. Reliable, dependable..... Always leads the players to say thanks to the fans. Great pro.
JFC - N/A

I thought Buckley had a shocker. Esp second half. We were desperate for him to get forward with the ball to give us a breather and he failed time after time. It was a real man up and pull your weight game and he didn't. Bruno poor. PIG awesome. Rest heroic.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Kuszczak 10 Faultless game
Bruno 6 made a couple of mistakes
El-Abd 7 got some great blocks in, silly yellow
Upson 8 solid defensive work
Bridge 8 as Upson
Bridcutt 8 his usual great display
Hammond 6 gave the ball away a bit too easily a couple of times, and then played well at other times
Spanish Dave 8 two quality assists,he's getting better and better
Orlandi 7 took his chance just before half time which was vital
Buckley 6 looked exhausted to me
Ulloa 7 took his chance and sealed the game. Nice headers out of defence too.

Dicker 7
Calderon 7
JFC not enough time but good to see him on the pitch

Don't normally do this but here goes.

I'd mark everyone 7.5 for a solid team performance with bundles of effort, however it would mark 8.5 for:

Bridge, quality defender never allowed his marker time on the ball or to turn.
Upson, a tower of strength and won nearly every header.

Kuszczak was MOTM, I would allow him a 10 but mark him to 9 for one really poor kick after a mix up with AEA.

The one player I would mark down to a 5.5 was Bruno, his passing was poor and unlike Bridge never seemed to get close enough to his marker.

I will also knock .5 off AEA to 7 for a needless booking, why do players bugger about with time wasting!

There you are first time for everything.

Pretty fair. I would give Bruno a bit of a break though, Bellamy was constantly raiding down the left and was a continual threat, every bit the class player we know he is. When Conway, who also had a good game, replaced the ineffectual Noone the pair of them double-teamed and ran Bruno ragged. Seems they decided not to bother attacking Bridge and Upson on our left and went full-bore at Bruno and El-Abd. The clean sheet was as much down to them manfully resisting against frankly much better players.

I thought first half when Cardiff were pressing our back 4 with 3 forwards it was going to be a tough night and cardiff had done their homework. This seemed to ease off a bit during the game and I still maintain most of the chances in the 1st half that went to cardiff was due to our sloppy play giving possession away.

Buckley looked a threat but tired in the second half but the whole midfield worked so hard it was no surprise that they looked so weary in the second half. Thought the back four defended brilliantly in the 2nd half and Kush was quality, specifically in the 1st half when he made 2 brilliant saves.

I must say the "penalty" incident that McKay is going on about my first instinct was that it was inside the area but we were clearly a long way away.

Thought Bridcutt was ever so slightly off his game but the magic of the man is that he still plays a crucial part in the game when he isn't at his absolute best.

Re hammond, thought he was OK. At times he looked like he wanted to much time on the ball reflecting the fact that when pressed he doesn't quite come up with the goods, having said that, I think it was his great ball to Spanish Dave for the first goal.
