Ryan - 6

No glaring errors, but failed to 'command' his area. Pope at the other end could teach Maty a thing or two, his command of the area was outstanding.

Lamptey - 8.5

Yet another outstanding display from the little maestro. He has to stay injury free next season, he's fast becoming irreplaceable.

Burn - 7

Another solid game. I thought Potter was mad to play him at left back when the season started, but now I can't imagine starting without him there. He has made the position his own, particularly with Lamptey at right back, meaning his height is now crucial when we're defending set pieces.

Webster - 7.5

Excellent today against the Lancashire bully boys. His performances since the restart have been so good that I now view the Dunk/Webster partnership as solid and dependable as the old Duffy/Dunk pairing from the last few seasons.

Dunk - 7

His mistakes nowadays are so rare that I was actually in shock when he let Chris Wood score. I had to look at the replay to convince myself it really was Dunk! However, that moment aside, the rest of his game was business as usual.

Stephens - 7.5

Another solid performance from Dale, he's going to be hard to replace when he does eventually go. The penalty incident was never a penalty in a million years, but the cheating racist who went down is nothing if not clever, and Dale has been around long enough not to put himself in a position for the old 'step in front of the player and fall to the ground as if pushed' trick. That incident could have cost us with a different referee.

MacAllister - 6

A semi-decent first half and big improvement on performances to date, but should have scored with his one chance. Faded badly 2nd half and deserved to come off. I desperately want him to succeed, but the signs are not there yet, .......... and don't get me started on his corners.

March - 5

I'm a big fan of March, but sorry Solly ... in an overall impressive team performance you stood out as being anonymous (see what i did there?) for the greater part of the game. Two beautiful crossfield balls to Lamps doth not a summer make!

Bissouma - 9 MOM

Fantastic performance topped by a fantastic goal from our most consistent performer since the re-start. If he carries this form into next season then he has to start every game and I predict the whole of the EPL will be raving about him.

Maupay - 7

Yet another excellent display from our little Frenchman. He has been a great acquisition, well done to the recruitment team for taking a chance on an unproven Championship striker. I'm confident he'll score double figures next season.

Connolly - 7

Superbly taken goal. He's got a real strikers instinct and hopefully that goal will enable him to take massive confidence into next season. I love the tactic of using two pacy but little strikers against these giant centre backs, buzzing around nipping at their heels like dogs off the leash. More please Mr Potter, but please teach young Arronn how to hold a ball up when it's knocked up to him, in order to give the midfield a chance to get forwards and join in.

Propper - 5

I love to watch an in-form Davy, he's classy, talented, visionary .. and usually one step ahead of both opponents and team mates alike. Unfortunately that Davy has not shown up for a long time, and today was no exception. He is now very much a poor man's Dale Stephens and he really needs to move up a few gears or sadly it's time to move on.

Bernardo - 6

Did OK, when he came on. No highlights, no lowlights, just did a job.

Mooy - 6

See Bernardo

Murray - N/A

Can't give a mark for less than 5 minutes on the pitch.

Beginning to look the real deal, so so exciting- almost always the best player on the pitch lately. Next season is his.

They were an area of frustration today, every one was high into the 6 yard box, that’s bread and butter for Pope.

I sometimes wonder what happens on the training ground about set plays. Remember the corner we used to play in the 90-91 play-off season when the ball was chipped out to the edge of the area for Colin Pates to nod on? We never do anything half as original as that..

Ryan - 6 I would love to see him come for more balls into the box. He often seems unsure of staying or going for it.
Lamptey- 8 MOM. Would be fantastic is we could find a similar player to play on the other flank. Very strong for his size and so quick. even managed to cover on the other side ot the pitch at times! Great performance
Dunk - 7 Although he lost his man for the goal, a good performance and MOM on BBC site.
Webster- 7 Has got better since the restart and looks much more confident.
Burn -6 If we play 3 at the back will probably be in with a good shout at starting games but if we sign a specialist left back and play 4 at the back he will lose his place. Harsh as he has been very consistent this season and generally strong defensively. With his height though, we should do better at corners.
Stephens -7 Good game but lost the ball carelessly due to their pressing in first half.
Bissouma -8 . Good game, extra point for actually getting a shot on target!!
March - 6 Nothing special but did his job.
Mac - 6 Not one of his better games. Too many corners straight to goalie.
Connolly -7.5 One of his better games. Took his goal really well. Quick and strong.
Maupay -7 A great signing. Really works all game and never gives anything away.

Mooy -5 Will struggle to start games next season but a good back up. Shame he has not recaptured the form from earlier in the season when he was still on loan.
Propper -6 So much talent and so few goals. I really like Davy and want him to do well but he may do better elsewhere.
Bernado -6 I though he was our solution to the perrenial left back problem but seems lethargic compared to Lamptey
Murray n-a

I see the BBC made Dunk MOTM, which made me wonder what game they'd been watching.

For me, it was between Bissouma and Lamptey (couldn't decide between them), with Stephens and Webster in joint third.

I think people are being harsh on Mac - he had a decent first half but faded badly, it suggests that he's got work to do to keep up with the English game.

The corners are very frustrating. Might as well put the kettle on when we are awarded one. For such an innovative manager it is strange.

Luckily, it's only the NSC intelligentsia considering that. GP and the club know better. Aaron is going nowhere

I don’t get why some on here are defensive about Connolly going on loan, like it’s writing him off.
Loans can work well for developing young players. Did alright for Beckham and Kane. And that Ben White fella.
If we sign another forward Connolly could be on the bench - is that better than banging them at the top end of the championship?
It is possible to rate Connolly very highly and still think he should go on loan for six months!

The difference is, none of those players you mentioned have had a full season in and around the first team. He's done enough to earn another

I’d agree with that. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t go out on loan, in the interests of his development.
In my And some others mindS, there is absolutely no doubt Connolly’s long term interests would be best served playing week in week out at the top end of the championship, seeIng a lot of the ball, getting a lot of chances, with the stakes lower.
I respect the fact that you and others disagree.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we get some high end signings in the coming weeks.
If so, I should think Connolly and loans may come on the agenda.
Whatever happens I’m sure Potter rates him very highly and sees him as part of the club’s long term future.

3 for MacAllistar over some bad corners is pretty harsh considering his first corner helped with the first goal.. I agree he doesn't look comfortable yet but give him time. I would say he helped control the midfield which was key to winning this game and also done his bit defensively a five or six much more apporopriate. March at a 5 is harsh too. He played well enough without setting the world on fire. Some harsh ratings there for a decent away win against a very established side.
