Sensible post. You know exactly what I mean. The oddness of the goalkeeping marks means he can only be marked up through the mistakes of another in the team.

I stand by the point. Start the goalkeeper at ten and remove marks for mistakes !

Quite often particularly a top 4 Prem side will completely dominate a game such as Man Utd's comprehensive 4-0 drubbing of Norwich last week. Norwich had no shots at goal throughout the game, therefore it becomes very difficult to mark a goal keeper. You certainly wouldn't mark De Gea as a 10.

Appreciate you could mark based purely on distribution but my feeling is if a keeper hardly touches the ball you're better of not marking like you would a substitute who only plays for five minutes. Or start as a 5 (average) if you mark as a 5 due to not enough involvement in the game then that speaks more about your teams domination.

Tomasz Kuszczak 9 Magnificent save from the Upson header and celebrated our goals with passion.
Inigo Calderon 8 Solid, flair and passion.
Gordon Greer 8 Absolutely magnificent performance, Murray never had a chance.
Matthew Upson 7 Sloppy passing at times, but solid defensively when it mattered.
Wayne Bridge 8 Had no problems against their dancers on the wing.
Liam Bridcutt 8 Patrolled the midfield and dominated it from start to finish.
Spanish Dave 9 Oozes flair all over the place and formed a genius diamond on our right with Calde and Buckley.
Andrea Orlandi 8 Quality triangles on the left with Bridge and LuaLua, really added depth and balance.
William Buckley 7 Worked hard and got into good positions, playing himself back towards form.
Kazenga LuaLua 8 Potent and determined to impress. Top class player.
Leonardo Ulloa 9 Links play, holds the ball well and can finish with his head AND feet. Class.

Subs
Andrew Crofts 7 Shame Buckley didn't pick him out late on, brilliant run.
Dean Hammond Participated.

:albion: Amazing win and the team performance after going 1-0 up was magnificent. The first 40 minutes are long forgotton now but until we went 1-0 up and then 2-0 straight away, it was in the balance. We scored the goals to change the game in our favour at the right times, that's what we haven't done all season but today we saw the value of taking the chances you create... Sounds simple but it's true.

Another set of these scores.

Bridcutt 10- Showed everyone why he is the best DM in this division, was simply sublime
Dave 9- Becoming one of our best players, Free kick was incredible
Orlandi 8- Not his best but still a good performance, His pace lets him down

Buckley 7.5- Not what he was at the start of the season , Doesn't use his pace like he should
KLL 10- Showed today why he should be a regular starter, Terrorized richards, got back and made key challenges

Ulloa 10- Got lucky with his first, has a knack of being in the right place at the right time, held up the ball and was strong making good passess

Crofts 8- Done the Job he needed to do
Hammond- not enough time to make impact

A lot of people seem to giving our centre-backs some pretty low marks considering we restricted a 30-goal striker and Man U-owned Zaha, etc to two chances in the first half and none that I can rememeber in the second

With two wingers Buckley and KLL, and two offensive wide midfielders, Dave and Orlandi, then it just shows the class of Bridders.....he bossed the midfield.
This is a good set up, especially as our defence looks quite solid.
