Casper: 6- Couldn't do anything about the goal. Apart from pick the ball out the net had nothing to do.
Painter: 6- Didn't get forward as much as normal but solid.
Greer: 5- Spent the last 15 minutes looking for a fight with Fletcher.
El-Abd: 6- Average performance
Calderon: 4- Probably the worst I've seen. Out of sorts today.
Noone: 6- Looked lively in parts but didn't get enough ball
Sparrow: 5- Not too sure what he does? Is he a ball winner? creative midfielder? Box to box? Games just seems to pass him by.
Bridcutt: 7- Worked hard, always looked for the ball, didn't lose possession as much as normal.
Bennett: 6- Didn't do alot.
Barnes: 5- Looked lost without Murray to feed off
Wood: 5- Looked lost without Murray to feed off.
Subs:
Dicker: 6- Looked to create something.
Murray: 7- Caused more problems then anyone in only half hour. Look a different side with him playing.
Kish: 6- Didn't do alot.
Calderon 4 One of his worst games ever for us.
Barnes 4 Did absolutely nothing very poor performance
Greer 7 MOM is behind every move we make going forward and so important to our defence
The rest all 6 Not a good day.
It had to happen and is all about how we react to getting beat. Cant wait for Tuesday evening and the chance to start all over again.
It makes you wonder if Calderon and Bennett's head were turned over these transfer speculations. Murray as well because Gus said he wasn't doing enough in training.
Listening to the radio it sounded like El-Abd was our best player on the pitch.
Ank-7 Still makes me nervous on crosses
Painter: 5 Seemed to get the run around today
Greer: 6 Broke well out of defence
El-Abd: 7 Very solid especially in the air
Calderon: 5 Struggled under pressure from pacey winger
Noone: 7 Some good tricky runs
Sparrow: 4 Don't remember ever seeing him
Bridcutt: 6 Solid enough
Bennett: 6 Didn't seem comfortable in the centre and played better when wider late on
Barnes: 5 Didn't see a great deal from him today
Wood: 6 Won some good balls but finishing was poor
Subs:
Dicker: 8 Really made a difference and controlled the midfield when he came on
Murray: 8 Won all the arial battles and caused problems
Kish: 6 Broke up play well and solid in the tackle
The impression given is that it made a difference when Murray came on. It did not, the difference was made when Murry, Dicker & Kiskishev came on, these 3 put the W in workrate. I thought that the worst problem we had, was our 2 forwards (Barnes & Wood) failing to control the ball, and conceding possession too many times.
Ankergren - 6 (Nothing wrong, some good distribution, apart from one dodgy kick which missed a Bournemouth player's head by an inch and another he kicked straight to one)
Painter - 5 (Can't remember much he did well yesterday. Ran into space when Greer and El-Abd had the ball which everyone else bar Bridcutt didn't)
Greer - 7 (Solid, good defending apart from one dodgy header from a quick corner Pugh put in. Yellow for dissent? Had the right to because the ref was awful)
El-Abd - 7 (Solid again! Looks so much more comfortable playing football the right way now!)
Calderon - 4 (Very poor performance. Pugh ran past him time and time again, and when he didn't Calde gave him way too much space to just get a cross in)
Noone - 7 (Liked him. He was tricky, speedy, and almost scored with that free kick!)
Sparrow - 5 (Can't remember him doing anything at all, apart from losing the ball once which everyone blamed Barnes for)
Bridcutt - 8 (Would create space for Greer to pass into when he had it, didn't give the ball away once, distribution was brilliant. Man of the Match for me)
Bennett - 6 (Wasn't very good today. I thought he should've had a penalty, but in the second half he did make some neat runs into their box)
Wood - 7 (Thought he was very good today. Some good runs, great touches, great control, good play with Noone. Finishing was disappointing though)
Barnes - 5 (One nice shot in the first half, but was poor for most of the game. He did almost connect with an "across-the-face" ball which could have given us the lead)
Subs: Changed the momentum in our favour
Dicker - 7 (Created space, played the ball well, and started to control the game when he came on)
Murray - 8 (Scored a disallowed goal straight away, and in all three matches I have been to this season (Brentford, Southampton, Bournemouth) he has come on and the game changed)
Kishishev - 6 (Lost the ball once or twice but allowed Dicker and Bennett to get forward which helped us in the last 15 minutes)
From the display yesterday I think our best midfield would be: Bennett, Dicker, Bridcutt and Noone with Murray and Wood up front.
