I feel a little sleepy, so may amend this tomorrow...

Kuszczak 7.5 - Not a lot to do, but kept out a decent effort late in the first half to keep it 3-1 at half-time.
Bruno 8.5 - Finally seeing from him what people raved about in pre-season. Some neat tricks too. By the end, he seemed to be playing as an advanced striker, closing the keeper down
Greer 8 - good game from greer, had the courage to come forward when he had space, played a lot of the game in the opponents half, covered for both attacking full backs.
El Abd 8 - strong and dependable.
Bridge 8.5 - Just brushes past players with ease, really seemed to be happy about his goal.
Crofts 6.5 - conceded the pen, generally quiet game
Dicker 7.5 - good performance, sprayed passes well, a few early errors, but grew into the game.
Bridcutt 7.5 - lacked some of his tackling from tuesday, but generally ok, a few loose passes early on.
Noone 8 - had some end product today to go with his running, seemed to attack with more purpose.
CMS 8 - didn't know much about the first goal, in the right place to make sure for the second, constantly pressuring barnsley when they had the ball.
Barnes 9 - Great game, could have had four, five if we'd got the penalty for blatant handball from the free kick (the barnsley player had his arm raised).

Subs
Lualua 8 - showed more intent today, ran at defenders, got behind them. Won't be too harsh on his shot, as we were 4-1 up, possibly 5 at that point.
Harley - 7.5 looked comfortable
Agdestein - not on long enough.

I think all the people who criticise him sit behind the goal. From the WSU he sometimes spots things that even I can't see from that height.

I sit in the heart of the East Lower, right on the halfway line and though a little bit lower than I'd like, you can really see how the game is orchestrated. Dicker's awareness is fantastic and his range of passing is sublime but its his weight of passing which impresses me. He is a bit slow in action at times, but his brain works extremely quickly and understands the game brilliantly.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I'd have given MOM to Bruno for his unequivocal spectacularity, and Barnes in second. Bruno is just incredible to have at rightback. On Tuesday we had Bridge being supreme, but this time relentless inside passing to bamboozle a sluggish Barnsley and tearing down the wing as if he were a rogue and drifting Messi type had it all Bruno. At the end, his cross that Harley fluffed was sublime. By god he's a step above what we're used to.
In terms of the Dicker V Crofts debate, i'd give a higher mark to Dicker today. Partly because of the penalty which was a lazy sticking out of the foot, but also because Dicker seems to be that much more involved in a game. Not always the killer pass, no, but he keeps things moving. I keep finding Crofts a little anonymous in games. He's good and i like him back with us, but our play seemed to go through Dicker and Bridders and Bruno. I like to think he has to resettle back in and find the ball more.

I won't be as generous as other people as I thought Barnsley were so poor

Kuszczak - 7 Quiet game but did what was needed
Bruno - 8 Superb throughout the game
Greer - 7 The strikers hardly got a sniff, although they weren't exactly a handful
Adam El Abd - 7 Ditto
Bridge - 8 Looks dangerous going forward and got some decent tackles in
Bridcutt - 7 Always available, tidy game
Dicker - 7 Kept the ball moving, eye for a great pass
Crofts - 6 Gave away penalty and not as threatening as the rest
Noone - 7 Good first half, faded a bit
Barnes - 9 Close to getting a ten, fantastic all-round performance
CMS - 8 Worked hard. Good to see on the score-sheet

Subs:

KLL - 7 Gave his full back a bit of a going over. Greedily had shot when players available
Harley - 7 Looked good, very much involved and unlucky not to score
Agdestein - Not on for long enough

Just a comment on those who say "Agdestein -- not on long enough to rate" then go on another thread and say he should be starting. ???
Having seen 3 brief cameos this season my personal rating wouldn't please many but I thought for a young player keen to prove himself he really hasn't engaged as assertively as one might have hoped. Ten minutes is not a lot to be sure but on Saturday he had a real opportunity to show more against a side who were well beaten and dispirited and I was surprised when it was Harley getting forward to grab a couple of half chances that you might have expected to fall to Toby had he put himself out there a bit more. Not a criticism of the lad and I think that in time he will develop into a useful player (not sure that he is a "natural goalscorer" to be fair) but perhaps a suggestion that those who push for him to be given a starting place should reign back a bit longer before he shows himself to be ready.

Nope he didn't create the last goal, must have been someone else

Oh yes he did = he was right in front of us..... and yes, i do appreciate it's ironic.

I quite agree. I've never seen him do anything, and at the moment I'm more than willing to presume that he's just not had enough time on the pitch to really get involved. But I'm not too impressed so far to be honest, but I wasn't at Peterborough last season where he set up the last minute Buckley winner. He has been involved, just not at home yet. I don't think anyone is suggesting he should be starting though, there's absolutely no justification for that yet.
