Sick off his hoof ball. Even when he could have played the ball on the floor, or headed it wide, he insisted on getting it high high in the air, and forward. An example which sticks out is when he could have gently headed the ball to El Abd in acres of space, and he just headhoofed it out. :wozza:

Forster was MOM by a mile today - 6 is a little on the low side for a man who held us together.

Smith 5 - Incredibly Kuipers is better at kicking. Could have reacted for first goal.

Hoyte 6 - Passing/final ball could be better
Elphick 2 - SHAMBLES (Virgo 4 - what has happened to him)
Tunni 4 - not convincing
El-abd 6 - Did ok especially considering he has no left foot and is played out of position

Bennet 8 - At least he takes people on
Crofts and Dicker 5 - Trying to do the same thing
Davies 4 - Struggled to remember he was playing

Forster 8 - Doesn't look sharp but manages to score anyway
Dickinson 6 - He's just not as good as Glenn

Cox 7 - Looked like he'd make something happen

Whilst I appreciate I wasn't there, unless certain individuals had (a few) outstanding moments, how either CB can have anything more than a 5 (at a push!), after letting in 3, at home, against average opponents is really beyond me. Their role is to stop goals going in, not have an 'average game'.

Perhaps you're all being nice about Tunni as he got a chance to prove himself.

No, I thought by and large Tunnicliffe was worth a 6, if only for his positivity in defending. It's been a long time since I have seen an Albion CB go on a surging run out of defence and into attack. He looks like a defender who can actually PLAY football, as in play the ball to feet, or carry the ball from the back. It was refreshing to see.

Smith 6 – What could he have done when he had no protection in front of him, deserves a long run in the team to build his confidence and in-match relationships with the 1st team defence
Hoyte 6 - Solid and did little wrong, can we keep please, Whing only got POTY due the rest of the squad being crap last year, we need some stability at the back.
Tunnicliffe 4 – Other than a long throw-in, what else does he offer? Just poor I’m afraid.
Elphick 4 - What has happened, he should have been properly coached, driving on, and making a grab for the captains arm band by now.
El Abd 4 – oh dear.
Davies 4 - Can we send him back yet? offers nothing
Dicker 8 – Just quality
Crofts 6 – Dicker and Crofts remind me of the “Lampard and Gerrard cannot play together” comments, the coaching team must work out how we use can use both.
Bennett 7 – Building an interesting relationship with Hoyte
Forster 7 - Worked hard but the years catch up on him towards the end of every match now.
Dickinson 6 – Stayed on his feet, a much improved performance
Virgo 4 – Looked like a scared rabbit caught in headlights
Cox 5 - Worked hard when he came on, needs to get used to being a bit-part player now.

Smith - 5 - Not a lot to do, a couple of reasonable saves but would have been disappointed if they'd gone in

Hoyte - 5 - bit below par for me
Tunnicliffe - 5 - Disappointing just gave away too much space
Elphick - 3 - Just needs a rest. SHould never have started.
El Abd - 5 - Tried hard out of position but poor.

Dicker - 8 - oozes class
Crofts - 6 - Quiet by his standards
Davies - 6 - Average
Bennett - 7 - Great player, dangerous every time he gets the ball. Dead ball delivery poor in 2nd half.

Dickinson - 7 - Played well. Goal did him the world of good.
Forster - 6 - Average

Virgo - 6 - Defence looked steadier when he came on.
Cox - 6 - Buzzed about

I have no idea why anyone who was at the match is questioning Gary Dicker's performance today - He was absolute quality! Defo MOM
