I think these are a really good feature outside the West stand and most heroes warrant there place, although I feel there are too many modern day players (is it because they still have jobs with the club?)

The final two players I'm really not sure about firstly Guy Butters, great character coming back from the stick he received in 2002 but in many ways his own fault no professional footballer should ever be that out of shape. Was he really that good that he warrants his place? Probably not in my opinion.

The final player Leon Knight I find harder to stomach, fair enough scored a crucial penalty at Cardiff but his character left a lot to be desired and again I don't think he done enough with us to warrant his place.

Surely Johnny Byrne, Steve Gatting, Ian Chapman or Michel Kuipers would be worthier recipients of this?

What's your thoughts? Which Albion heroes have been unlucky to have been overlooked?

Ian Chapman, Richard Carpenter and Paul Watson should all definitely be up there for me.

Going further back Garry Nelson warrants a place as well in my opinion.

From my early days of watching the Albion- Glen Wilson, Jimmy Langley and later, Norman Gall. There are many players who gave years of loyal service who deserve to be there before Leon Knight.

Can't remember as don't walk that way round the stadium unless we go to the shop but I believe Charlie Webb is not there. Stand to be corrected but surely the most influetial individual at the club pre WWII.

Certainly Gatting, probably the most consistant player in our Div 1 days. Why no Tommy Cook? Record scorer and England international?

My granddad always said Jimmy Langley was the best player he saw out the Albion.
