a galaxy far far away
For me it’s Veltman. Dunk and Bissouma have been immense but have played in their preferred position all season. Veltman has been played left centre back, right centre back, right back and prominently at right wing back where against all expectations he has mitigated the loss of Lamptey who looked a shoe in for player of the year at the start of the season.

So big Joel the man for me.

This is a good point. Joel and Ben White to be fair have both been shunted around all over the place and have dealt with it brilliantly.

I don't think we've seen the best of Veltman yet. A full season at right sided centre back and we'd see just what a class player we have. There's going to be a battle royale for defensive places if we can get Tariq and Solly fit.

Veltman just about edges it for me for both his versatility and level of performance within these varied roles. Add to that the ridiculous value for money he has been in the current market place - what a great signing.

Clearly Dunk & Bissouma, amongst others, have had a great season; but I'm looking for someone that has added to what already existed and given us options and reliability, whilst exceeding expectations. Who'd have thought that we wouldn't have missed Lampety all that much despite only being half his speed?! (That said, very much looking forwrad to Tariq being back from a pure entertainment perspective)

Dunk has been brilliant all season. This thread is weird.

Personally, I think Bissouma deserves it. He's been fantastic. For long periods last season, Potter wasn't playing him and he couldn't even get on the bench. He's been fantastic and it probably speaks to his attitude off the pitch that he got himself into the team, and kept himself there. He's been brilliant all season and he deserves to win it.

Solly March was unlucky to get injured, otherwise he probably would have been the winner.

Biss , Veltman , Dunk

Webster had some good form but still gifts balls away far to regularly to be considered.

Transfer fees should not come into it for POTS but I’m still voting for Veltman.

Agree, Joel has brought consistency and experience. POTS for me. We could have used him on the weekend.

It’s really wierd that Bissouma is not winning this by an absolute landslide.

All I can think is that he’s now, and has been all season, on such a different level to all the other players that people are just ignoring him and forgetting he’s there.

I love Veltman but he just hasn’t been as good as Biss and no way is Dunk POTS. He didn’t start playing his usual game for about 3 months or so.

Biss is strangely under rated STILL by a section of our fans. If he doesn’t win the POTS award then I would seriously question the sanity of Brighton fans and the whole point of even having this award.

Can anyone with a straight face honestly say that Bissouma has not been our player of the season?!

If so, you’ve got very questionable football opinions.

Veltman hasn't featured enough through injury now, it's BISSOUMA now for me with the strong finish to the season which we hope won't be his last.

You have to acknowledge that Dunk must be a contender. A superb leader, a colossus for us and he ends the season joint highest scoring defender in the Prem and our second highest scorer for the season.

It should be based on the ENTIRE season, not influenced by a player missing a couple of late games.

Veltman and Bissouma alone have been consistently the business.

I think Biss has just edged it but certainly it should be between those 2. Biss has maintained good form in these last games and is right up there in most PL tackles made.
