For what it's worth, I think - even before Henderson's constant undertaking to spill the ball (different from flapping which I don't think he does do) - Kuipers was/is the better keeper.

But 'forced out'? ???

I am sure that McShane will be named player of the season, it would be a travesty if he wasn't, he has been easily our most consistent player. This got me wondering, I was sure that a loan player had won player of the season before, but I am struggling to remember who it was, can anyone name him?

Officially in 91-92 Mark Gall won it, however sure John Byrne got the most votes even though he left in October I think, now he is a legend in my eye. Who can forget the wave from the wall when Sunderland came visiting? Or winking at the North Satnd after he missed that sitter, maybe my memory is playing tricks but sure those 2 things happened, along with the chant "if you all voted Johnny clap your hands"

Well when i say forced out I obviously have no evidence apart from what a mate of mine who is currently doing some work on kuipers house has said which is that Chel has fallen out with MM (which is rather obvious anyway). MM has obviously sent him out on loan to free funds to bring in gifton, same applies for big mac as they are both high earners. I strongly doubt that chel will be here next year and for me thats a massive shame, surely he should be given the opportunity to fight for his position in the team as he has done so well against roberts in the past.

NSC is bizzarely Orwellian at times. Now we're told Kuipers is the definition of "loyal" :thud:

"Loyal" obviously means not accepting the decision of a manager to pick an international keeper over you.

"Loyal" obviously means kicking up such a drama-queen fuss about it that the manager has no option but to pick a kid to sit on the bench instead.

"Loyal" obviously means not wanting to stay around to help your club in a relegation fight but f***ing off to some no-mark League 2 club for the rest of the season.

I guess the only person that tops Michelle Pfeiffer for "loyalty" this season is Leon Knight.

How ever remote it maybe to keep Mcshane,a vote in protest serves feck all, the ginger 1 has played outta his skin fer a loan club and he deserves to get it.MK has been a great servant fer us,and the posts here and chants show that, but dont be blinkered by loyalty in this vote, vote for the no 1 player of the season

Did so well at Boston that they signed someone else on loan.

In fairness his loan spell was up and due to the terms of the agreement forbade him from staying. As for a protest vote, what's the point ? Nobody at the club would give a damn. I think this is another example of NSC posters thinking that they can have any effect on club policy and that they represent the fans as a whole, sorry but they don't.

Just seems a little odd

Leicester City goalkeeper Conrad Logan has returned for a second loan spell at Boston United.

The Football League had given Boston dispensation to sign a keeper beyond the transfer deadline after Michel Kuipers' loan stay came to an end.

Logan played 10 games during a temporary stint at York Street earlier this year.

Boston have signed the 20-year-old on a seven-day loan and hope to extend that until the end of the season.

It is I agree but I somehow doubt that MK will play for us again, not unless McGhee leaves for some reason.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I think the issue that people find difficult to swallow, is a lot of people are still stuck in Micky Adams times. When we were trouncing many and marching up the leagues. Kuipers isn't perfect and he has spent a large proportion of three seasons out injured. You just have to look at the trouble we had finding a keeper. How many have we had on loan?

People need to get over Kuipers being dropped. I for one, am quite angry that he saw fit to kick up a fuss when he was dropped. By all means focus your anger, and use that in training. Fight back and regain your place. Not follow the example of other professionals (and I use that term loosely) that think they have a divine right to be in the team.

Henderson has been bought as an investment and for the future. We have Martin and Sullivan coming through so the future is bright on that front.

Would we blame Micky for dropping Kuipers? Perhaps this all stems back to McGhee...

I think we should all vote Kuipers!!!!

I think I'll make my own mind up-certainly won't be voting for somebody who has hardly played for us all season....bit of an insult to Paul McShane dontcha think?

Just far enough away from LDC
The player of the season vote is not something that should be tinkered with. It is a good honest vote for the player who has performed to their best in that season.

We all felt for Stuart Storer when in the last season at the Goldstone, no vote was held. He surely would have won.

Whilst we all have views about Kuipers, Henderson, McGhee etc. there are other ways to show them.

matt - i would hardly call him loyal and hardworking for throwing up a fuss because he was dropped. that is in the leon knight mould, and everyone considers him to be a little tosser

if we are turning the player of the season into a protest, then i will almost certainly vote for mark mccammon, and i urge everyone to do so too

I think im on a different planet to most people with this whole kuipers thing. My understanding of it is that (as ive put on the other thread) kuipers was overlooked and replaced as number 1 by WH, he disagreed with this and had a little strop when he was on the bench. MM takes offense and they "fall out" sorry to use that phrase. MM then needs to bring in a new striker and needs to free up funds so FDM and Big mac are sent out on loan as they are not currently in the managers plans and are both high earners. FDM has never been disloyal to this club, fallen out with the manager maybe but never given less than 100% in any game ive ever seen him play for this club and this crap about him effectively going on strike is absolute bollocks imo.

Football league rules dictated that they could not re-sign him. I think you will find that he did do well at Boston.
