Another clear vote for Duffy... only Dunk and maybe Murray can get close in my opinion.

Surprised Ryan has been mentioned. He's been decent, but can't remember any outstanding games - unlike last season. Done what he should do well, but I can't recall anything stunning

That's kind of the point isn't it for a keeper ?

Do you think the sending off against Palace, gains or loses Duffy votes.

I think it gains votes, because although we lost him, we scored the second goal with only 9 men on the pitch, and we have bragging rights, not only beating them at Selhurst, but we did it at the Amex with only 10 men.
It all adds to the legend.

Duffy because of his goals added to his defensive work but surprised Ryan hasn't got any votes yet. I suppose maybe he is a bit short to get any votes

Well last season I remember he had some outstanding games, and made some saves he had no right to. This season I think he's been below that level. Last summer I was concerned we might lose him to a bigger club... I'm not so concerned now.

Don't get me wrong, I like him a lot, but I don't think he's excelled as much as last season.

Percy Tau....... well someone had to say it!

Duffy has probably been our most consistent performer so probably gets the nod for me, with mentions in dispatches for Muzza, Ryan and Dunk.

I voted for Murray, then saw how far ahead Duffy is. I would have expected Dunk.....oh well.

Duffy for me too. Although I must say that that sums up our season to date as Duffy is a limited defender at Premier League level in terms of his all round game. It's also a damning sign of the football we've been watching at times this season that a defender so uncomfortable with the ball at his feet is up for our POTY.

Off the top of my head, he had no right to stop Aubamayang from doubling Arsenal’s lead at the Amex. Sensational save.
I think with Maty, we’ve come to expect a very high standard from him, which he delivers.

Duffy wins it for me. A defensive colossus, scorer of important goals, what’s not to love. I saw a chart recently which rated all of the Premier League defenders on their aerial ability, Shane was so far ahead of the rest it was ridiculous.

Totally this. He's definitely not quite at the same level he was last year. Not that he's been awful, just that he hasn't really excelled.

To be fair, that was a good save!

As I say, he's been good... just not good enough to be in the running for PotS

I don't think he's been at the same level since the Asian cup. Thought he was pretty much as good as last year until then.

Why does Dunk always get overlooked for these.

Should be an absolute shoo-in , but apparently Duffy has been better.

Duffy has been better for my money.

That list of previous winners was a trip down memory lane for sure. A lot of defenders in the list and my vote goes to another defender this year - Duffy.

BTW could anybody enlighten me about why there were three seasons when no Player of the Year was chosen please.

I must admit, I'm really surprised by this result, I think our defending has been pretty ordinary this season and arguably our best result of the season was achieved without Duffy even being on the pitch.....
