remember we are dropping a division so maybe we have offered reduced terms and they are talking through them to come to agreement. Also it may be a few players each of which needs to be seen alone

Lord Bracknell said:Maybe the "ongoing talks" is a sign that a contract is a two-way thing.
If anyone thinks that a contract of employment is simply a thing handed out by an employer to a grateful employee, they are still living in the middle of the nineteenth century.
Why blame DK for any delay in the announcement?
I congratulate the players and their agents for rolling their sleeves up and getting involved in the talks - which will no doubt "ongo" for as long as it takes.

If any contract talks become protracted over a week or so, does that mean we are still kept waiting..... first time i have ever known it to be done like this.
It's normally we have offered a contract to x and y
The rest have been released

Superseagull said:We seemed to have it much better organised when Micky Adams was in charge. I have to agree that we have been pretty poor in getting players to the club during the pre season. It always seems to be a bit last minute in the past few seasons, with very few potential players actually being given trials.

B.W. said:Exactly... wouldn't hurt for our club to be proactive in the market for once...
