And they'll be replaced by players of similar stature and type. Big Sam isn't going anywhere, and his type of player won't change. If Carlton Cole goes (who on earth would sign him?), they'll snap up another 6 foot plus lump to take his place. Who else will pay Kevin Nolan £50k a week (allegedly)? I don't think it's as easy as they'll "leave West Ham if they don't go up". Who is going to sign them?

O yes of course they will, But players Like Cole think they are better than they are and will look to leave.

Nolan might not have a choice as West Ham have serious money issues and may not be able to afford to keep him on.

The Porn Barons, put £70 million in, a Karen Brady fact.

Orient got the brilliant Olympic stadium condition in, that only 1 lower division side can go for it, and 1 prem team. West Ham plumped of the Prem.

So if they don't go up.
They have a massive debt, and now stadium on the horizon.

So I'll repeat the question. Who is going to sign him? He is under contract with West Ham, whether they like it or not he doesn't have to go. It's not about "keeping him on". He has a contract, they can't just get rid. He would probably be available on a knock down fee, but the transfer fee wouldn't be the problem. His wages are a joke.

Newcastle were brilliant in getting rid of Nolan and Barton. Massive wages and egos, nowhere near worth their salaries.

It's both good and bad. Alright, it means putting up with West Ham on MOTD again next season. But atleast we don't have to play them again. :clap2:

Quite a few clubs would, QPR for a start, they like to throw money at over the hill players.

Positives - They are out of the league, we wont get ripped off there next season, probably wont see whole page adverts in the Metro next season trying to get people to go to their games AND we get another trip to the lovely Blackpool.

Negatives - Their fans (the same fans which booed them in 3rd place and said the play-offs were unfair) have been rewarded with promotion.

Yeah I find it hard to be happy seeing West Ham doing well...but it makes the league easier so I'll keep telling myself that!

I would quite like to see Holloway now going to Villa or West Brom. Give him a crack at one of the "Bigger" clubs
