Interesting. Could dig out the Converse All Stars and see if that helpsAltra are the running shoes that are renowned for being zero drop, ie there's no tapering down from the heel to the toe. They're still pretty cushioned though - https://www.altrarunning.eu/uk/
Vivo Barefoot are far thinner and minamlist - https://www.vivobarefoot.com/uk/mens
I was just about to recommend Helen. She’s brilliant. I’ve had several pairs of custom made insoles from her to compensate for flat feet and some nerve issues. The difference they made was phenomenal. Not cheap but the orthotics last for years, worn constantly, even running 15-20k a week in them.
One day you will wake up and the condition will suddenly be gone . It’s a very painful thing to have .
HOKA, absolute game changer.Hoka footwear really helps me. I wear their sliders around the house as slippers and their Clifton 9 trainer for everyday wear.
For any other shoe I use a proper plantar infill. I got mine from a store called Runners need. I’m not runner but their information on how to help me was a life changer. They introduced me to Hoka too.
